Called today. Got it straighten out. Friday to Sunday. I'm taking site 70, as it's a 50 amp hook up.

Re: Rausch Creek "Spring" 2014 - June 20 - 22/23
I'm definitely coming down for this. It would be good to meet some fellow PW owners too.
What is involved in this? Is there some trail pass I have to get ahead of time or do I buy it the day off? I'd be interested in wheeling on the Saturday and Sunday, is that what most people do?
Any Canadians or Upstate New Yorkers heading down? Might be able to meet up along the way.

Don't know what the Canadian Contingent is, but I am Canadian and fully plan on coming down for this. Sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe next year I'll drive out to Moab too, it's only 30 hours, each way.FirerescuePW wrote:Wow! I can't believe we are this close to locking it down already! What do you think, Mr. Davey?

There is a membership you will need to buy, plus the daily fee. The fees are on Rausch Creek's website. I think it's $35ish for the membership. Don't hold me to that. Sunday is a crapshoot. Sometimes people stay, sometimes they don't.
If anyone wants to come just on Sunday, shout out so people can plan. Some may want to stay and wheel Sunday if others do.
We had 4 guys come from Canada 2 years ago. They were all busy last year. Maybe this year???

Re: Rausch Creek "Spring" 2014 - June 20 - 22/23
As a member of the Canadian group that came down 2 years ago,I would love to come down again (couldn't make it last year cause I didn't have a tune nailed down for the new cam), but I'm not going to make it this year either. I'm spending quite a bit of money on a motor build for my Dakota, so most of my play money for wheeling and building the PW is going towards that. The tires that are on my PW are toast (anyone want 35" slicks
), that I can get the summer out of but won't be good for wheeling. I'd love to get out and wheel the truck, but not enough to drive 6+ hrs unfortunately.
If you have the opportunity Shaner82, by all means head on down. Awesome group of guys to hang out with.

Kingston area. I just booked a cabin at the campground listed in this thread. I'm looking forward to this. I went wheeling once before in my old truck, but it was with a jeep ground. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I'm looking forward to wheeling with some other trucks.
I'm not too far from you by the sounds of it, so if you ever want to go wheeling sometime, shoot me a PM. Sounds like there's some decent trails not far from your area.

Just to verify- you booked at the Jonestown KOA? The other KOA didn't have any RV sites so we booked Jonestown.

Cool. Just wanted to be sure.
Ok folks, that means there is one cabin left, since they only have 2. Make your reservations. The usual suspects have the usual offers if you need a bed.

Re: Rausch Creek "Spring" 2014 - June 20 - 22/23
Not goin to be able to make it. Going to have some surgery in a few weeks.
No tires,no money for tires and other repairs I need to do!! I was looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing awsome trucks! Pretty disapointed. Maybe in the fall or next year I can make it.

Gotta double check and see what my schedule looks like, my roommate is getting married the 28th and I'm in the wedding so as long as it's clear I'm gonna head down, I live 2hrs away so it'd be awesome to come and meet some new people!

And sorry not replying sooner. Finally got a job, a temp contract job, for a university hospital IT dept in Philly working on a large email migration. I'm still contract training, and doing other side contracts. Been a bit busy lately. Feast or famine...

It's quick to post a quick comment on FB while sitting on a toilet in between the toilet paper work! For our forum, I would rather provide quality time!pdavey wrote:So is Ace dead on here? I see him on FB all the time but no commitment here seems odd.

And thanks Peter, for reaching out on FB.
Russ, I'll give you a call next night or two... I hope that your power plant getting acquired doesn't mean you will be out of work.
And I'm looking forward to the trip!
