Pulling the abs fuse kills all of the nannies. Much more fun to drive this way.

Those are the same 3 lights that light up on my Jeep dash when I trip my nanny killswitch. I wonder if there is a single wire that can be cut on the PW like I did on my Jeep? Then just install a switch on it, so you can kill it whenever you want "on the fly" without having to pull a fuse.

Not that it is the same, although it could be... my Jeep has a little black box under the center council where I accessed this super special wire. This black box apparently has a sensor in it that figures out when the vehicle is swaying and stuff... critical for certain portions of the systems to work. Routed to this little black box is a heap of wires, with the super special one being the purple wire with the light blue stripe. I wonder if by chance this is the same for the Ram trucks???
I can post a link to the write-up I made on this project at jk-forum.com if anyone is interested. There are a few pictures... although again it most likely is completely different than the Ram, but who knows yet?!

I just have to find the wire that comes off of that fuse and put a switch on it. Once the warranty is up.

What I'm thinking that this is a Yaw sensor. On my Nismo. There is a Yaw sensor under the center console. We cut one wire (power), then wire in a switch to eliminate the sensor, stability control, and traction control. If you want it to work again. Shut off the car,and flip the switch. Then restart. Find that sensor in the PW. Think you might be in luck to fixing your problems.

Yes, the yaw sensor. That is it. What you did to your Nismo is exactly what I did to my Jeep. Functions the same way also... have to shut the vehicle off and turn back on to get the system functioning again. Wonder if the new waggies have the same setup. Easy fix if so.

I think we have to find out where this yaw box is in the 4g power wagons! Would be nice to do a doughnut from the flick of a switch. This should be a new topic!

The yaw sensor should be around the center of the vehicle.

I'm getting tingly & aroused talking about yaw & vehicle centroids...
I'll assume the yaw 'sensor' detects lateral acceletation WRT to the vertical z-axis, which is most likely just a 1-axis (maybe 2-axis if there's also a roll sensor too) accelerometer, taken about the vehicle Ixx & Iyy COM. So from dealing with these on several occasions, guess it's got a 12V hot, a ground, and two sensing wires which detect acceleration as a change in resistance across the Wheatstone bridge, so if you put a switch or interrupter on the 12V wire, that should do it.

As I suspected, the yaw sensor is indeed part of a 2 sensor system called the Dynamics sensor (P/N56029341-AC) for roll & yaw motions, I have nonid a how to get to this location, but for what it's worth, this is from a Ram vehicle systems engineering manual:
"The yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensors are housed into one unit known as the dynamics sensor (2). The sensor is used to measure side-to-side (lateral) motion and vehicle rotational sensing (how fast the vehicle is turning - yaw). The dynamics sensor (2) is located on the floor panel transmission tunnel under the center floor console (or if equipped with a bench seat, under the front center seat section) next to the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) (3)."

If the ABS fuse removal kills it all, because ABS is at the heart of all the nanny systems then why go to the trouble of cutting wires? Unless you want to put a switch in line with the fuse to make it more user friendly to turn off and on. I'm not seeing the point of the dynamics sensor thing. The ABS is as much if not more of an issue when off road.
The superchips trail dash (if we ever get them to adapt it to our trucks) will turn that stuff off with no warning lights on the dash for one key cycle. For 2015 and 2016 the ECM needs to be replaced with a cracked one to allow for modification with a tuner but at least they have a way to tune them now even if it is $1000 for the modified ECM.

Unless you want to put a switch in line with the fuse to make it more user friendly to turn off and on. I'm not seeing the point of the dynamics sensor thing. The ABS is as much if not more of an issue when off road.
Exactly. Why hassle with getting into the fuse panel and pulling a fuse when all you have to do is flick a switch from the comfort of your seat. And when you want it back on, just flick the switch back and cycle the truck off and back on instead of getting out of the truck and back into your fuse panel.
And the point of the getting to the dynamic sensor thing is because it prevents all of the nannies from working, including ABS (at least on my Jeep anyway).
