Most replaced the oem shocks with something. Like the 5100, 5160. I went to the 7100's with remotes. Then to custom Kings. The stock oem's are a bit under dampened.
Nice.

When we replaced ours on our 2005 PW running 35’s went w the B8 5160 front & back & everything worked fine. Is your rig lifted or have a leveling kit? That may make a difference,,,
It's 100% stock. No lift or leveling kit.

Re: Front OEM shocks

Thanks!

I emailed Bilstein and they said they can't cross OEM shocks because the specs are proprietary. I'm going to order some from the dealer and see what shows up.

2007 front shocks

I don't know if I have the correct front shocks for my 2007 Power Wagon. The old shocks are original OEM Bilsteins. The old rear shocks (P/N 52121458AD) are an exact match to the new Bilstein 24-186094. The old front shocks (P/N 52121970AA) are an exact match EXCEPT the extended length is almost 3 i...

Re: 220 Amp Alternator Upgrade

Follow up:

Everything is working great so far. No abnormal belt wear. When using the winch the headlights dim a lot less than with the 160 amp alternator. The voltage is solid with little fluctuation.

Re: 220 Amp Alternator Upgrade

Another pic. I separated the permanent battery connection from the alternator so I could fuse both runs of wire to the alternator. That way I don't have to worry about relying on the fuse link for protection. 20250712_125709~2.jpg The fuse holders I used Screenshot_20250713_173424_Amazon Shopping.jpg

220 Amp Alternator Upgrade

Hey yall- In case anyone was wondering, a 220 amp alternator out of a 2013 6.7 Dodge Cummins is almost drop in replacement for a 160 amp alternator in a 2007 Power Wagon. I upgraded my wiring but I don't know if it was 100% necessary. I just know factory wiring is usually on the ragged edge of okay ...

Re: 2007 Power Wagon

I don't offroad a bunch. Plus there's no dual mass flywheel with the hemi. Also no MDS with manual transmission. That's why I prefer a manual transmission. My 05 Dakota V8 is a six speed as well. The problem I'm noticing with the Power Wagon is the torque curve and drive by wire. It's not set up for...

2007 Power Wagon

I wasn't looking for a truck, but I couldn't pass this one up. I bought it from the original owner that special ordered it. I joined a couple other forums, but I'm looking for a forum that's more specific to Power Wagons. 20250118_161720.jpg 20250118_162447.jpg It's a great truck so far. -Powerlinef...
