**Subject: 2017 Wagon - G56 Swap & Uconnect Button Remapping**
Hey everyone, update.
Just wanted to share my project with my 2017 wagon. Unfortunately, I recently blew my 66RFE transmission. On the bright side, it's a good excuse to pimp out the truck!
I currently have a Z-Auto Ram Tazer that offers cool features like winch mode, cooldown mode, and 4Lo spoof. While it's great, the Tazer buttons aren't the most user-friendly. Ideally, I'd like to remap these functions to my Uconnect system for a cleaner integration.
Speaking of the transmission, my shop in Crossfield, AB, is doing a G56 swap. I'm going with the 2008 G56 AD with the 6.29 1st gear for better performance.
But that's not all! Since we're diving this deep, I'm also planning a dual transfer case swap for a triple stick setup. Looking to pair a Titan Blackbox with a Ford NP205, although I'm open to confirmation on the best compatibility.
I know I'm running 4.10 gears on the 6.4 Hemi with 35" tires. Considering the swap, fuel mileage might even be slightly better than a stock 2008.
Any advice or experiences with Uconnect button remapping on Rams, especially with the Tazer, would be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone has insights on the ideal dual transfer case tripple stick setup for my setup, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance!
Also super happy to be on here thanks gang.

Re: Z Auto Ram Tazer
I have the Tazer in my Gladiator with the U-connect 4. The way the tazer is set up. You can't move the function buttons to the touch screen. People have tried. If you find a way to do it. Post up.

The ultimate goal is have the over the head homelink buttons remaped.
one for winch mode one for cool down and last for spoof 4lo.
For people who dont have the z auto or what it gives ..
in thoery id be remapping a grage door switch for things like tow haul to up above.

I believe the HomeLink / Universal Garage Door Opener is just a stand alone RF transmitter. I can't find any diagrams showing that it's tied into the LIN-Bus or CAN-Bus networks for remapping.

If you want to make use of your HomeLink buttons to control auxiliary accessories, you can use one of these dual channel RF receiver/transmitters to make use of 1 or 2 of your HomeLink buttons to control 5 amps each. If you want to control higher amperage circuits, you would need to use relays to handle that load. The key fobs that it comes with can be programmed to your HomeLink buttons.
I use these for building a wireless controlled "Nanny Kill Switch", if I have a customer that wants that upgrade option.
