If it's about Power Wagons, all generations, this is where it'll go. This is the original PWR Forum Power Wagon Technical Discussion Section. And this includes everything that doesn’t fit in any one of the other categories related to the truck goes here!

2019 Payload specs

Post by Fastnlight » Wed Oct 23, 2019 10:10 am

I just read on the official Ram website there were two different specs for payload for a 2019 Power Wagon. One is listed at 1450 and the other 1510. Anyone know what makes them different?

Also,my 2016 is rated at 1,250. How were they able to go up to 1450/1510?

The Payload value is based on the options that are on the truck. It is effectively 8510 lbs minus the empty truck weight.

The gen 4 Power Wagons are 3/4 ton trucks with flexy springs roughly equivalent to a 1/2 ton.

If you want tow or haul as a standard Ram hemi 3/4 ton, your easiest and cheapest solution is to install airbags...
Ram hemi 3/4 ton crew-cab payload is around 3100 lb
