Do they measure 36” with the truck on them, or 36” before they are installed on the truck?

Depending on air pressure, I think it is pretty normal for a tire to loose an inch in height with an 8000 pound truck sitting on them.

My 35” bfg’s measured 33.5” with the jeep on them, but were more like 34.25” before they were mounted (still quite undersized in my mind).

So I got on the interstate today hit 65 front end starts shaking like hell. Rode to the mall where the wife wanted to shop and pulled into sears.

Guys hooked me up. Removed the bead balancing shit and balanced the tires. 3 of the tires took 4oz. The 4th took 4.5oz. Rides like butter now at highway speed. No vibe in the steering wheel.

Whew!! Happy to hear you got them properly balanced. I argue with so many people about beads I gave up. Lots of shops try to do it but always say no.

Factory 4.10’s still. Not a huge change in felt acceleration however it is Procal’ed and I have a pedal commander

It’s a throttle response programmer that removes the electronic pedal lag you plug it in between you pedal and the computer under the dash. I got a hell of a deal on one so I figured I’d try it. It has multiple settings under different driving options. From economy to sport +, I run mine in sport setting 2/4 I tried the sport plus but I tend to spin the tires more than I wanted so I backed it off to the next level down.

When you bring it to the dealer you turn it off and it doesn’t appear with the scan tool

It is an expensive device that replicates you moving your toe about 1/2" farther. Just buy a damn tuner that modifies trans behavior and actually helps your engine if you're going to the spend money.

Depending on the price you pay it could be expensive, mine wasn’t to bad and at the time I couldn’t afford a full on programmer. It does what it’s meant to do. One day I’ll get a programmer. But so far I haven’t found one I’m totaly in love with. While we’re off topic what do you recommend as far as a full on tuner.

I can't recommend anything for the newer trucks. I've never run a tuner. I'll be getting a DiabloSport for my 11' so I can tune the trans and torque management. I have heard it makes a big difference in the bottom and mid on the 5.7 which is where it needs the most help right now. I need to tune the trans before I smoke it, these soft shifts are terrible on the clutch packs off-road at speed.

Did some trail riding today with the munchkin. Tires dig really well did 2 water crossings some icy frozen patches and some dirt trail climbing. No issues at all no slipping still want to do some further testing but since it’s muzzleloader season I couldn’t get down the trails without interfering with the hunters.





He was all smiles crossing the water. But wouldn’t put his fish down.

Exactly, not a huge chrome fan. But the interior package gave me all the heated options that help with long rides and bad days. Don’t want to have to give up driving a truck and wheeling because I got all busted up. Plus all the conveniences are nice.

Had 315/70R17" ProComp MT2s put on my truck a few weeks ago. Have not did a lot of wheeling with them yet, but have towed my boat about 100 miles and they felt fine. They have done very well during the little off roading I have gotten in. So far, after about 750 miles, they get a thumbs up. Oh, and no rubbing turn-to-turn or during the mild 4x4ing I've done.

My other babe is a Black 392 Scat Pack Challenger, and it is a major pain to keep clean living in the desert! But it's so worth if for about 2 hours after I wash it.... LOL!

My friend has 40” mt2’s on his jeep and they seem to do phenomenal in just about everything. Only issues we have come across is cutting them while up in Canada in some severely rocky terrain.

I almost went with the Falken MTs but I caught a really good deal for the ProComp MTs and ran with it. $1200 installed with 40K road hazard warranty. So far, so good. If I don't get the same type deal again, I'll be giving the Falkens a shot next time around! Let us know how they do for you! Towed the boat to the bay this morning and I enjoyed the MT hum there and back again! LOL! On another note, have I mentioned that San Diego is an awesome place to live?! 73F, perfect calm on the bay and 2ft swells on the ocean... On Dec 24th.....

I have 35" nitto ridge grapplers on my 17 and like them they balanced well so far have done good off road and in light snow and we'll mannered on the road. I am fixing to go to 37" tires i hope. Does anyone have the nitto ridge grapplers in 37" on stock rims and did they balance? I keep reading how good Toyo balance I like the looks of the R/T any feedback on them. Thanks

I have 37x12.50 Toyo R/Ts on my factory wheels on my 2012. Got them over the summer and this is my first winter on them. So far I couldn't be happier. I fell for the balance beads when i got them and they were a little rough but it was easily corrected with good old fashioned balancing.

No squishy sidewalls or goofy handling characteristics. The only real change was getting used to driving with a heavier/taller tire. They have been great in the ice and snow that we have had here this winter.

I pulled our 30 foot travel trailer all summer and drive the truck every day. My only gripe has been the balance beads and that had nothing to do with the Toyos. I will be up for another set when these are done. They just plain work.
