Power Wagon Picture Thread

Post by Taylor04 » Sun Dec 18, 2016 2:13 pm

Here's some photos from my recent Mammoth Mountain, CA trip!

Finally got to use all the PW features. With both lockers and 37" tires this damn truck crawled up and over anything I wanted. The only thing stopping me was damaging the body through trees and boulders.

I even pulled two cars out of ditches on the way back from dinner one night! A Toyota FJ and a Subaru wagon. First two winch uses were successful!

Nice pics and nice truck!!! I was up there in September, never been there when there's a decent bit of snow on the ground though. What trail(s) did you run? Or just exploring on blm roads?

Thanks! Here's a website with some info about the two trails. http://www.mammothtrails.org/activity/36/

First trail called Knolls seemed like a service road that takes you to the top of some near by hills with radio towers and such. Great views of the Mammoth town and mountain. Trail starts in town near sawmill road and shady rest camp ground.

Second trail we ran out of daylight but it was called Laurel Lakes road and I will definitely be back for that one.

Yes my 37" BFG K02 tires do rub at full lock. I never noticed it while off roading. I only hear / feel the tire rub in small parking lots or tight maneuvers. It's nothing that bothers me, I try to not hold the wheel at full lock anyways. I can see a polish mark on the sway bar and on the bolt head of radius arm. I check the tires frequently and I've never seen any damage or marks on the tires.

A few pics this hunting season. That hill is a heck of a lot steeper than it looks in the pic :). PW crawled up the ice frozen hill like a champ in 4x4 hi.

We are getting a warm spell right now, so i figured it was a good time to pull the ol betch out and spray her down with the powerwasher.

Even with all the fluid film on her, it still makes me feel good to get that salt off of there

Got out over the weekend and used mine a little. Was kinda nice in AZ , went to Bulldog Canyon. Trail was a little rough not bad, the super high burms freaked me out a little, but the Wagon made it through no problem 4 hi
