If it's about Power Wagons, all generations, this is where it'll go. This is the original PWR Forum Power Wagon Technical Discussion Section. And this includes everything that doesn’t fit in any one of the other categories related to the truck goes here!

Just an FYI this dolphin phone browser is very good phone browser and once the learning curve of double tapping the screen to zoom to a thread and the use of the tabs becomes the norm then I think it works great. And its free too!

http://dolphin-browser.com/

It also accepts the Last Pass add on that secures your passwords on your phone. The PC version is free but for use on your phone it is $12 a year for the LastPass Premium Only Features.

PS: I also think an IPhone and Android apps section may be helpful as there are may coll apps for our forum and PW needs.

Looks like the cat is out of the bag DT is down and I suspect they are going to retaliate.

Sure hope you guys got the stuff you needed as it may just be possible we will be locked out.

We may be able to register again but using a new ID and IP only I suspect.

Could be a false alarm but they have been watching us close as of late and someone not not naming names seems to have fully put them on alert.

Thanks for your support!

I think it would be silly of them to do something like that and block/delete all of those threads and people because we decided to " follow their rules" and take it somewheres else such as this forum, or do business away from the forum. We are just simply following their rules. Besides, they have other members there that belong to other forums and are either moderators and/or administrators away from DT. At best it would be Holocaustic in a sense, where as they would be doing a partial genocide of their forum, eliminating folks who had decided to join another forum or simply move on. What kind of example would that have on them? It wouldn't reflect well on their part in my opinion. We wanted to do things a little different here, while not worrying about what our views are going to be perceived as out of order or unacceptable. If they are understanding, as I have no reason to believe they are not as of now, they will leave things as they are. There are alot of threads on there that could be thought as or bend into thinking they are not acceptable. There is no excuse to let them be there otherwise they could be perceived as not doing their job. An example is why a t-shirt sale is ok and info about a snorkel is not ok? It seems a bit odd in my opinion. I could bend it and say it's border line dictatorship but whatever it is actions speak for themself. I would think it would be in the best interest of DT to let things be the way they are. I don't dislike them I just find it better on here and more fitting for my style.

Very true Pit. Your perspective is probably pretty accurate. We'll just take slow, and try to get our info over here asmuchas we can.

I would tend to agree but with the dealings I have had with the mods I'm now sure the Orange crush baby power wagon thread relocation was retaliation and not the letter of the law.

I just think going slow and tagging the info you guys want far outweighs any fun that could be had posting hints and such in the DT forums. Just sayn is all.

Forum Move Discussion Here

Post by ldgregory » Tue May 29, 2012 1:02 pm

I was messing with ya. Don't worry about it. We pretty much got all the really active and long time members moved over anyway. At this point we're just picking up the stragglers. Im not worried about getting banned, I'm just worried that content will go missing from there. We have a whole lot of historical content there. Would be a shame to lose it.

If you haven't been contacting stragglers, by all means, please do. Below is what I've been sending folks..

I'm Leif Gregory, owner of the Power Wagon Registry.

A bunch of us have gotten together and ultimately decide to move the forum to a new location with much less restrictive rules and co-locating the 3rd and 4th gen PWs into a single location instead of split like we are now. We most likely won't be able to move content from DT because even if I could get DT to agree to give me the database, we're running on two different forum platforms and there's not a migration path. Secondly, the posts are copyright to the original poster and we'd need a whole lot of permission slips so to speak.

At any rate, I'd like to invite you to join the new forum at http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org

Please don't make any general announcements on the DT forum. We're not quite sure how DT will react to us leaving and we don't want them to retaliate by banning people or deleting content. Also, I apologize if you have received this more than once. I didn't think to keep track of who I already contacted and other people who have already moved might also send you a similar invite. Please spread the word via PM to other PW owners when you have time.

Thanks and hope to see you there soon.

Oh, I just LOVE this. :winchmob: Could have used it on the "other forum". And this too. :zombie: Think we all felled that we was being attacked by them as a group.
