When my PW accelerates and sometimes when I have the cruise set there is a metallic jingle sound coming from under the drivers side dash somewhere. It is worse when it is cold outside and sometimes I can make it stop by readjusting the tilt on the steering wheel. I have read where some people have had heat shields rattling under acceleration, but this really sounds like it is inside the cab under the left side of the dash.
It about drove me nuts driving back from Nebraska today.
Anyone else had this problem, or any ideas?

check your front driveshaft. I have the same thing happening and its my double cardan joint. Sounds like change bouncing sometimes from right below your feet.

I can confirm the heat shield problem but it only came up at low speeds in 2nd gear around 1800 rpm on the freeway it was fine. That does not sound like it is the same set of symptoms.

I worked on my PW yesterday and I believe I have found the problem. I found that if I pulled the column shifter back ( as it is spring loaded) the noise wold stop, as I had previously found that adjusting the tilt wheel would stop the noise. I proceeded to take off the plastic around the steering column and inspected the shifter. I removed the spring and nut and re greased that area on the shifter. This lowered the jingle noise, but under acceleration I still had the noise.
I inspected further and found that the shift cable running from the shift linkage attached to steering column to transmission was resting on the frame at one point. The shift cable has padding, but it was resting on the frame just below the padding. Under acceleration the cable would vibrate on the frame and send the vibration into the shift linkage attached to the steering column causing the annoying noise
. I have rerouted the shift cable so it does not hit the frame. No noise so far, I believe the problem is solved!
Any Gen 4 Ram owners have the is problem, check the shift cable.
