I dunno why, but the gloss black Decal against all that matte black ruins the white truck IMO.

Not as much as that grill ruins the truck

LOL. I actually like it. Waited for the 17's to come out because of it....personally I'm tired of the crosshairs. That's just me though, I certainly respect anyone's choice. LMAO...on another note I've seen some pretty funny comments about the new grill.. Pig Snout / Mustache Grill...and to be honest I can see the resemblance.

I rushed my order for a 2016 so i would have the crosshairs... but mine is also a laramie with no decals, etc. But the 2017 grille is growing on me... or at least the blacked out look..

1) what's the avg wait if a factory order is placed?

2) is there any way to track it online? I know Ford has the cotus site that u can see the production info/schedule. Was wondering if there was something similar for the PW.

I ordered mine on or about 11/21/16, was told it was scheduled to leave the plant on or about 12/19 and as of this moment is scheduled to be at the dealer the week of 1/30/17. So it takes approximately 10 weeks? But I am sure all the national dealer preorders were in before mine so there may have been a bit of a backlog when i ordered mine.

Pahrump Nevada just got a sexy blue 2017 SLT 3 days ago. I didn't realize how much bigger than a 3rd gen these are. It was 2 inches taller at the mirror than my 07. Very nice truck, but I need a reg cab, so never going to convince me.

There's a thread over on RamForumz that you really need to check out titled something like "2017 Status updates (Where's my truck?)". if you Google "RamForumz 2017 where's my truck" it will come up. The guy who runs the thread is SPP, a truly awesome guy. He works for Ram in some capacity, and goes out of his way to provide a list of status updates several times a week for anybody who cares to post up and ask. In there you will find several anxious and excited people who frequently share the time frame they've experienced to different parts of the country. Also in SPP's sig you'll find a link to post he wrote explaining all the status codes and what they mean.

With all that said, yes, 9 or 10 weeks seems to be fair average from what I've been seeing for HD Rams over there, barring any hold ups or extended lay overs in holding yards (keeping in mind we've also been swarmed with holidays, no doubt that has increased build times). Also, as they are built in/shipped from eastern Mexico and come up through Texas, the farther north (and especially north east) you are in the country, the longer it takes.

...but I absolutely HATE the tire tread seats!

Me too, just seems silly and tacky. I know some like the last gens graphics, but to me the new seats give me feeling as those did.

Luckily on '17 you can now order the Leather & Luxury package and get leather and essentially all the Laramie bits with the standard SLT level PW appearance. It's a huge uptick, but when you add up everything it comes with its an easy sell if you were planning on getting a bunch of those options anyway. Sucks you can't get the seats changed out without the whole package though.

If anybody is interested I have an order sheet from one of the factory ordering guides that a salesman sent me when I was shopping around. Lists all options and packages with codes, as well what's included in, not available with, or must have another option/package. If anybody wants it send me a pm with your email and I'll shoot you the PDF. I only have the three pages pertaining to the PW.

The dealer I got mine from had four that were sold before they even reached the lot but they ussually have a few in stock and they had healthy discounts on them. They are a great dealership to work with but unfortunately they are in SoCal

The splash graphics and red inserts in the grill ruined the last PW for me...its like they were trying TOO hard. While I love what they've done with the current PW...to each their own

Yep--agree. I bought the Laramie tailgate raised chrome PW letters, chemically stripped, then painted to match the other OEM raised emblems MOPAR makes for the 2500's, (they don't make the PW letters in black).

The red inserts w/ an all black grill & bumper on a red or black truck looks classy--throw in a red color touched ram head and I think you've got a unique look.

I personally have always been one for the low key no graphics look, but this new setup is really wearing on me. The design of the grill still doesnt do much for me, but i like the all black look. I like everything about the tailgate too.

Too much RAM for me. The understated Ram head & the right sized PW letters on the Laramie are perfect to me--they harken back to the old school 40's PW chrome letters.
