What armour
What armour
What types of armour does everyone have on there trucks? I'm heading to moab next may and want to know what i should have or what everyone in running. as of now i have raf rock sliders(frame mounted) and going to be ordering purple cranium protectors front and rear. I will probably keep the front and rear bumpers stock for now as the front is already bent up and the plastic piece is ripped off. What else should i buy or make?

I love Moab, and grew up in Alberta. So you should listen to me.
Rocksliders are the main thing. Moab is a boat load of fun in a stock rig. You will get a few scuffs on the bumpers but enjoy, wheel as is.

Re: What armour
I have WK sliders and Carli front diff guard on mine, running 37s.
I did put a dent in the bottom of my front bumper.
Mike Key ran all the same trails I did with a bone stock (at the time)'15 with no issues.

Re: What armour
ok awesome. i will also be running 37" tires and like i said my front bumper is already bent to crap so thats not a big deal. my main thing is i don't want body damage like doors or fenders.

Re: What armour
Good front and rear diff guards as well as a strong set of sliders. If your style of driving is like mine, two spare tires as well.

I guess you could say I'm a bit off center.....

Re: What armour
In my experience, best bang for the buck mods are diff covers and sliders. The bumpers can take a scratch and dent and the rest of your underside is pretty well covered from the factory. Go and enjoy!Pit Slave wrote:Good front and rear diff guards as well as a strong set of sliders. If your style of driving is like mine, two spare tires as well.

If I start listing Mods I would have to change the list daily

Re: What armour
What everyone said, sliders and dif protection. So many people do bumpers without any real use. They have a purpose, but I think you money will be best spent elsewhere for now.
I did a lot completely stock in Moab. After the experience, I decided for how we wheeled, my best investment in money would be front and rear dif protection, WK sliders and 35 tires.

Front bumper skin is only $400 and takes about 30-45 minutes to swap... Haha

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.
