Re: What do you love about your truck?
-it is the best tool I've ever driven and has served to be extremely useful more than a dozen times in two years, usefulness that other trucks would not have offered
-it rides incredible for a 7300lb 410hp behemoth with 37" tires and all the offroad features
-I can put my family in it and feel confident I won't have any issues going anywhere we want to go
-it is the best looking truck offered imho
-the under the rear seat storage and in the floor storage bins are unbeatable
things I don't like:
-traction control and associated bs
-transmission behavior
-mpg but that's no issue because it was 100% expected
-the sheet metal could be a pinch thicker you have to be careful leaning in some spots when washing or it will deform

Re: What do you love about your truck?
I love everything about my truck. I loved my '11 but I'm in love with my newer '15 Laramie. Just an amazing truck. Seems to be easier to drive than the last one and the interior is amazing. Everything where it needs to be. The ride is great for a 6700# truck, pulls all my gear around. Looks great, works hard and plays harder. These trucks truly are the best of both worlds and like others have said, a jack of all trades. As long as they keep making them I'll have one in my driveway. No other manufacture offers anything like a PW.

6700lbs? I suspect many women would love to be weighed on the scale you weighed your power wagon on!15pwag wrote: The ride is great for a 6700# truck,
Seriously though unless you've removed an awful lot from your 15 Laramie that truck is every bit of 7100+lbs!

Re: What do you love about your truck?

I'm in the Cruz/Ducky camp. There's just something about an '05. I bought mine new as well. I still get compliments (when I wash it!). I like that it is built well and just works. It's a real, HD truck that rides like a half ton. It's comfortable for a night out with my wife. When you pull the 4WD lever, it's in 4WD. It pulls my 30ft camper with ease. I can explore trails, power lines, and most anything else. I can do the annual Rausch Creek outing and bounce it all over rocks, through washed out ravines, climb hills, do water crossings, take surprisingly tight trails through the woods, then drive it back to the campground and tow the camper home. Someone called the PW a Swiss army knife. That is the best comparison.

Re: What do you love about your truck?
I'll try to put what I like most in order:
1) Still get compliments on the truck nearly every time I take it out - heads turn.
2) High stance - with the rake of a truck that actually does work. (unlike leveled trucks for show)
3) Heavy Duty truck that rides like a 1/2 ton. (If I want my teeth to rattle, I drive my CTD)
4) Great highway fuel mileage while unloaded (17-18 mpg). This was the first HD truck with MDS (I wouldn't have bought the truck if it didn't have MDS - I sold my '13 PW due to poor torque for towing and poor fuel mileage)
5) Backup camera - I can hitch up to my boat, lift, or any trailer in under 30 seconds by myself.
6) TPMS - Check all the tire pressures every day with just a push of the button.
7) Stock Goodyear DuraTracs perform better than BFG all terrain and BFG all terrain KO's that I have used for the past 20+ years.
8) Creature comforts - heated and cooled seats - heated steering wheel
Biggest disappointment:
1) Limited Slip Rear End - almost completely useless - it does nothing when one wheel has 0 traction.

Re: What do you love about your truck?
Things I love about my personal wagon:
1. G-56 Manual trans. I always wanted a PW when they first came out, but I could never find one with a manual (and I did not want the auto, been there done that). If mine hadn't been a manual, I probably would have never bought it.
2. Gets a lot of compliments on the stance and look that it has, mostly by women which I love, lol.
3. Cammed Hemi. The gearhead in me loves the lope and grunt of an aggressive cam. Surprises a lot of people that a modern truck, especially a gasser Dodge can sound like that. Women also love the rumble of my motor.
4. Does everything I want it to. Tows my flat and gooseneck trailers with relative ease, and it is normally my DD. It also almost gets the best fuel mileage (avg 12.5) of all the trucks in my fleet.
5. I'm always the goto guy at work to get places or rescue people when we have snow days here up north. I'm the guy who gets to work even with the roads closed ususally by pushing snowdrifts with my bumper. Love going out on storm days and helping people that were dumb enough to venture out without being prepared.

Re: What do you love about your truck?
I love the handling, for a big heavy truck on 37s, it doesn't mind being hucked around with the tail sliding!
I love that I can wheel it all day and drive home perfectly comfy, at speeds I won't discuss, LOL!
I love how much it still shocks people when they see what it can do offroad!
I love that is is comfy enough to get a little air over berms but can still haul 3000lbs worth of whatever thing I decide I am going to build in the backyard.
Gonna sound funny but, I actually love how beat up mine is- I love that I don't have to worry about it. I was always all about keeping my Duramax perfect and would stress out over tiny little scratches in the clearcoat (heck, I even got some of the DMAX's trim repainted because it faded a little in the sun, I was WAY too picky about that truck) vs the Wagon which I've already dented I really don't worry about, it's a truck and it does every truck thing I ask of it without complaint! Plus, it's just more fun, I can do all sorts of goofy stuff with the truck since I'm not worried about some dents and scratches!
Really a great truck!!!! Oh, and like some others, I love that it is paid off!

Re: What do you love about your truck?
I love the fact I installed a 1.5" lift to fit 37s,hop in it and drive 30 hours non-stop from Boston,MA to Moab,UT,wheel it for 8 days, then drive back to Boston and only have to put gas in it.
...and I'm with RAM4ROKS,I don't care what the exterior looks like. It's covered front to back, and top to bottom in scratches from running through brush on narrow ATV trails.Even picked up a couple of small dents in Moab...it adds character.

Re: What do you love about your truck?
There's a lot to be said when you get comfortable enough with a truck that a scratch or dent doesn't bother you. In the past 6 years I have destroyed two or maybe three shopping carts. Go in the store, come out, hop in the truck, nobody parked in front me, go into drive, hit the gas and hear a crumble. Somebody parked a cart at the front bumper and I didn't see it. I just backed up, looked at the buggy carnage and laugh. Wasn't worried about the truck at all.
