You saw it here first!
I made a big, stable base for my hi-lift modled after the First Responder one form Hi-lift. I have contacted a fabricating shop here and can make and sell these for $70.00 plus shipping. I know it seems like a lot of money for something that should come standard with these jacks but that is not much more than what it would cost for me to have them made. They are 8"x8" made from structrual channel steel. You have to provide you own 1/2" pin. The hi-lift can be rotated 90 degrees in the base depending on how you want the "legs" to be positioned in relation to your vehicle.
The pics are my prototype. The ones I will sell will be made by a professional welding shop and the welds will be much prettier. The photos show the base being used to lift the front end of My diesel truck with absolutly no bending of the base:

the fabricator:
It's a small one man shop, he doesn't have time or want to be involved in marketing this. He is the only heavy industry in the area of mostly retired folks. His father who started the business died a couple of years ago and he is trying to stay in business, I'm just trying to help him keep his shop.
The name of the place is Smelter City, located in Cottonwood, AZ. He has no web site .
