Plug and Play Locker Bypass
Need some help gentlemen. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fabricate a plug and play locker bypass? Winter is coming and I need to get this done before it gets to cold.

Yeah I saw that, but I don't fell to comfortable with all the splicing and such. I mean I know I could do it and soundly I might add..... but if there was a way to do it without cutting and splicing too much I would rather do that

Re: Plug and Play Locker Bypass
I don't know what year PW the OP has, but...
Have heard that the recent Jeeps can be changed through the computer to allow lockup in hi-range. Probably requires a cooperative dealer, but some off-road shops that deal with Jeeps may know if the PW computer (on the later models) can be tweaked to allow hi-range locking. Of course, what I have heard may be wrong, too.

That would make things a lot easier, but I doubt most dealers would do it... The Rubicons always get the cool toys!Ducky's Dad wrote:I don't know what year PW the OP has, but...

Re: Plug and Play Locker Bypass
Planning to do this some time soon. M t-case position sensor went out. No lights light up. Prob jammed in top position. I've tried to take it off to see if I can coax it to lift but couldn't find wrench big enough. BTW wiring diagram is gone from that FAQ section. Undeniably it's pretty trivial but could be helpful. I would also suggest to unplug that connector that will make it far easier to work with. As far as plug-and-play does anyone have part numbers for corresponding male female plugs?

Locker bypass threads on DT. One plug is factory. The other is custom. Here is what it looks like. Worked just fine BTW CajunPW. Thanks!CajunPW wrote:PWRider wrote:Planning to do this some time soon. Re: Plug and Play Locker Bypass
i have a locker bypass i purchased for my 05' pw. never installed it. not going to on my 12' pw cause of warranty and don't need it.
i gave i think $75 to the guy who made it way back when. it's for sale....i'll let the original poster of this thread have first grabs. i'll let it go for $120, s&h included, just for my troubles and managing to keep it for all this time in a secure spot and safe spot.
We'll swap info so i can ship it if you want it.

Re: Plug and Play Locker Bypass
FYI:
Anyone with a late model 2012 (Built after January 2012 I believe), the standard locker bypass won't work because the resistance values changed when they went from the NV271 transfer case to the Borg Warner 4447. I don't know what the 4Low resistance value is on the BW t-case, mine was built in September 2011 and still has the old NV t-case.
