Re: Back on the wagon
Hopefully Shelby will be able to get these built for you guys. The funny thing is I still have my locker bypass sitting in a box in my garage. I really need to get around to installing this thing some day.

He did contact me.. And said no later than Monday for shipping out.
I will also add that if he showed me the ways... I would help make these for a cut

Re: Back on the wagon
Received my bypass kit today! Looks like a factory harness and is very well made. May have it on this weekend if nothing comes up, so I'll update in here to let everyone know how easy the install goes.

Re: Back on the wagon
Dang, I sent an email but never received a response. Bummer.
Re: Back on the wagon
Question for anybody that knows. How does the traction control react to the lockers being engaged in 2wd and 4 high?

Re: Back on the wagon
Received mine as well. You might want to check the contents of the relay box before you get ready to install. The adhesive/hot glue used to secure the relays/parts inside the box had come free on mine on pretty much all parts attached to the interior of the box itself. Nothing major, but worth addressing before you set aside some time to install.Stickman wrote:Received my bypass kit today! Looks like a factory harness and is very well made. Re: Back on the wagon
I figure he's got a good sized list to work through. I got an email asking for clarification on my truck year, but no details on timeline. I imagine and hope he's working his way down the list to us. Hopefully we'll hear something fairly soon.Reloaderguy wrote:Dang, I sent an email but never received a response. Bummer.

Re: Back on the wagon
Just got mine in the mail! Might tackle it this weekend. Thank you Shelby!
I will note that one of the relays also came un-glued.. But no big deal... It was left outside from the mail carrier and maybe this Michigan cold had somthing to do with it.

Re: Back on the wagon
I cracked mine open and it was indeed rattling around some with the glue broken free. Would I need to stuff something in there after setting the relays to keep everything from coming apart? Looked fairly secured, not much that could come apart with it secured to the truck.

Re: Back on the wagon
Sounds like there are some minor updates required to the control box.
Keep us posted in installs and fit and finish.

Thanks for the feedback on the relays coming loose. I'll make a adjustment to try and prevent that.

thank you for the email! I'll be waiting for you next contact
Re: Back on the wagon
Got home from work last night and the kit was at the house waiting for me. Now to find some time to install, that is After I use a better adhesive on the relays and circuit boards as they all came loose on the long shipping journey to Canada.

Re: Back on the wagon
use some RTV silicon, it will take the vibrations better, just make sure the surface is clean and wait for it to fully cure

Re: Back on the wagon
So got my kit installed last night on my 2014. Took about 3hrs with a buddy helping. Installed the box behind the air filter ran the harness along the radiator to the battery then down the fire wall to both front and rear axels. The harness length to the axels were plenty long enough, the "T" harness from the box to the battery was a touch short but it does make it where it needs to go. The instructions indicate to use the supplied harness caps/plugs for the OEM axle connectors once unplugged and new harness plugged in, those caps were not in the box, so I filled them with dielectric grease and taped them up really good. I had reported earlier that some components in the box had come loose during shipping, this was quickly and easily redone using RTV silicone. Inside the box there is 2 slide on pin connectors to the relays the white one has a nice snug fit but the red one I think is the wrong connector as it is extremely loose fitting as you give a shake and it come un done by itself, quick dap of hot glue will keep it place and still be able to disconnect it in the future if needed. The adjusting procedure to set the trim pot resistors is simple and easy to do, just leave attracting the box behind the air filter to last so that you have easy access to it for setting it up, once done put the lid on and screw it in place.
I do need someone to test their stock locker for me please. When engaging both front and rear lockers which lights are coming on the factory dash switch? Right now when both are engaged the front/rear light and the REAR lights are both on. I cannot remember if it was that way when stock or not.
Overall these kits are well made with a lot thought into the design, like with any new parts give it all a good once over before starting to make sure all connections are tight etc.
Thanks again Cajun for building these kits, for the guys worried about loose components in the boxes, it's an easy 5 min fix and I wouldn't let that stop me from buying one.
