Firerescue nailed it, my brother was pulling a 20 ft. fiberglass jon boat out of the river. This happened back in June when I was out in SoCal. He has done it probably 20 times and never had an issue. It was just a freak accident. Truck was in park, he didn't put the parking brake on, and there wasn't a tree to strap the rear bumper to so he just chocked the wheels. It has an Engo 16,000 lb winch and the truck was running, but nobody was in the truck. It was being run from the side, up on the hill. The boat has a small U bolt on the front of it for a nylon rope to be tied to when docked, so that is what they hooked the winch hook to. You would think that the small U bolt would rip through the fiberglass before the truck would move, but I guess not. So they got the winch line tight, the boat shifted and the current caught it like a sail, it just launched the truck into the water like someone put it in gear and stomped the gas pedal. It went in with the motor running, but the good thing is that it didn't hydro lock. The truck went in so fast and at such an angle that the air was cut off before the motor filled with water. Took 3 wreckers to pull it out because of the angle of the bank. It was totaled out (the driver side is pretty bad, I'll post another pic) so I bought it back from insurance for cheap and we got it running. Just had to drain the oil, pull the plugs, and turn it over to blow out the water. Changed the oil about four times and all the water is out. Electronics took a hit but after drying out all the relays and fuses, it actually runs and drives. I'm having a new hood and door put on, popping some dents in the other doors, doing all fiberglass fenders, and gonna keep wheeling it. We have 41" iroks on it now and working on the rear 4 link with coilovers. This truck was on it's 2nd motor when we bought it, I guess you just can't kill a Power Wagon. It's been through hell and back more than a few times and keeps going.
