2015 powerwagon POS

Post by dusterd » Sun Oct 11, 2015 3:04 pm

Apart from replacing my battery, both head lights and numerous wheel speed sensors, having the tranny decide when it wants to take off usually at 3500 rpm and having one hell of a speed wobble, having rear diff lock wanting to lock on its self now the entire wiring harness is f@c$ed im reall starting to thing the engineers at fiat chrysler need to get their shit together cuz this is a poor excuse for an off road truck. I would contact your dealer about the lemon law. I don't know if it depends on which state you live in or not, but all those problems are unacceptable. Look up lemon laws in your state. You probably just got a bad from the factory truck

X3. Possibly consider hiring an attorney.

Sorry you are having trouble. I cannot imagine how disappointed you are.

My 15 has a couple annoying little foibles but nothing like you describe. I have a BAD feeling about my new Fiat truck, so far so good but the quality just isn't the same as the slew of 3rd gens I had. Good Luck, that is a lemon law case if I ever heard of one. You will need to hire an attorney.

Usually lemon law lawyers (or at least in PA) are 'free' and only take cases they feel confident in... To qualify your vehicle has to go in (be out of commission) for a certain time frame or more than 3 attempts to fix the same issue... I went thru it a few years ago with my Journey.

You need to lemon law that truck... I had to do it on my 14 wagon... I'm in GA so I don't know what your laws are... I did not have to hire an attorney... I will say it is a long and painful process but when you pay that much for a truck it needs to be right... I took delivery of my 15 wagon in April and its a night and day difference when the truck is right...

I have done the lemon law thing twice, both in California. Once against GM without a lawyer, once against Chrysler (Heep), with a lawyer. Won both times, got new vehicles ordered to my specs. It's a lot simpler with a lawyer, but they take a piece of the action, no free lunch. On the Heep deal, I had already gone around the block with Chrysler and did not like their deal so I got a lawyer involved. He got me a much better deal, but his fee almost exactly matched the amount by which the deal had improved.

That's a shame. I have yet to have a single issue with mine so far. Hope you can lemon law it!

The Lemon Law will depend on what State/Province you live in. The other option is to check with Ram/Fiat and see about a manufacturer buyback to get you in a different vehicle. I may have to do that with my new Stihl chainsaw that runs like crap at elevation, but am told their is nothing wrong with it.

We have a good solid lemon law in Alberta. One of my ex's clients went thru it with jaguar a few years ago, and they took the car back, and gave her her money back. She wasn't going to take another jag. I'd offer to get you info, but I'm not on speaking terms with the ex.

Somewhere in that truck the factory has pinched some wires during assembly. I've seen a Cummins cook engine ecms. Dealership wouldn't keep replacing them so my buddy got the chrysler rep to come out. Upon tearing the truck apart they found wires under the seat mount cut. Sloppy assembly at the factory. I'm guessing something in your dash is the same way.

Gotter back from the dealer and they replaced the wiring harness under the truck. There was melted wires in the harness causing all the electrical problems i was having. They found the front sway bar had a ton of play in the actuator where it gets disengaged thus creating the brutal wobble i was experiencing. They also updated all the modules that had available updates. ALL COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! frickn awesome day. Thank you Vermillion Chrysler.

Does anyone know if you can get an aftermarket HD coil springs for the PW. I parked beside a new one and theres probably a 2-3" difference already and i have 42000km on it.

What did they do for the transmission? I have a similar intermittent issue where I start the truck, put it in drive, step on the gas, watch tach to go to 3,000rpm and the truck barely moves. This issue is very intermittent and my dealer could not duplicate so I got nowhere with them. I saw a youtube video of a guy with a similar issue as well. I'm waiting for a TSB so I hopefully can get it fixed.

I'm in Calgary and had to have GM buy back my 2014 Denali 1500. It stalled, lost power, headlights blinked, 3 batteries, wouldn't start in cold weather, etc.

Neve had to go to a lawyer though, GM just bought it out and took it back.

Sad to hear about your PW, I have a 15 as well, 18,000km or so and running well. I had a glitch with a power mirror that sorted itself out, but my mileage is good and it works as expected.

Hope you get it fixed up.

Hey guys it bin awhile but here we go again. My dealer replaced the complete swaybar setup to stop the bad wobble. I was super pumped to finally have my truck fixed until they told me that my radius arm bushings are hammered out and now i have to replace both radius arms. I hope this is the end of my troubles. Thank god for warranty.

I always say to put 2 years on a truck before any major mods so the manufacture has no one to blame but themselves for warranty coverage.

Shes bone stock other than mudflaps, running boards and a tonneau cover. Im a little leary of changing tire size and brand just in case they start blaming that for some stupid reason.
