Recall Notice on my 14'

Post by P40hawk » Thu Sep 17, 2015 8:02 pm

Just received a recall notice for the Occupant Restraint Control Module (ORC). Seems the side air bags and seat airbag an overly sensitive calibration that may result in unexpected deployment of the air bags. Looks like it is just a software issue. Has anyone had their airbags deploy unexpectedly? I assume once you have the truck in 4wd the traction control is turned off and the airbags should also correct?

No. Airbags will still deploy if you crash hard enough, even in 4wd.

And the recall writeup indicates that they may deploy if a door is slammed... WTF
