I know there's a sweet spot that doesn't cause a ton of modifications. This is my plan.

37's on stock wheels
Dynatrac ball joints

A matching Carli stainless steering damper and front diff guard are nice amenities to that setup. If you're staying with your stock coils you don't need new control arms or track bar.

I was going to swap the coils so going to need those control arms. I want to be able to fully stuff the tires w/o rubbing. A suspension that works is more important than the stance or appearance to me.

My main goal is to get some ground clearance and a more controlled softer ride on and off road. That stock suspension is brutally choppy

This comment kind of surprised me. My 2012 Power Wagon is way nicer riding than my 2004 HD Hemi with the Kore suspension was. It's still very much a 3/4 truck, but holy crap it's a world of difference compared to my old truck.

x2 the softest ride you will get is the stock setup, the Carli shocks/springs are stiffer here is a 3G comparison I put together the 4G PW are similar.

Well thats a little disappointing. I understand the truck is a 3/4 ton and it's going to be stiffer than a 1/2 ton but i was hoping there would be less rebound then there is ( 42K on the clock so the shocks shouldn't be toast ) There are times on the fwy that the chop is ridiculous. The truck can be a little spooky in a turn (fwy) if there is uneven pavement. It will side step a little instead of soaking it up. Is this just something that isnt fixed with the aftermarket suspensions ?

Yeah, the Carli setup may be softer for a regular 2500 (IDK) but, it is definitely stiffer than a stock Power Wagon, I can attest to this. It sure does soak up a jump though,lol!!!! (jumped some erosion control berms for fun, soaks it right up!)

A 37 won't fit the stock carrier, my spare is in the bed, hooked to one of the tie down points with a chain and a big master lock (to keep honest people honest (lock is easy to pick if somebody wanted to), and to keep it from flying out), I'll do a nice carrier at some point.

The Carli pintop will ride better then the factory in the fact it will resist bottoming out a lot more. It will be firmer for cornering and accelerating and offer a lot better offroad performance. Your biggest ride improvement will be the 37's the fact you have a much taller sidewall and can run less air pressure in them will give them more if a marshmellowy feel. If you want a soft -er suspension look towards a Thuren stage 2-3 system. And get some good bump stops (boogie rated) price point will be cheaper also. If you want 37'a on stock wheels you'll need high clearance control arms. You may still rub the swaybar a bit but that's ok it's thick lol. Dynatrac ball joints is a good idea also stock stuff doesn't last long with 37's. I would personally go with the kit you've suggested at the top Carli stuff is off the shelf and readily Available the ride will be a big improvement. The larger diameter shocks I think will ride better then you'd think. They may also take care of some washboard effect bumps you would normally feel and be annoyed by. As mentioned above you may want to think of a diff cover depends where you wheel. A Carli low mount stabilizer would be a good addition also. Look into a steering box brace also the 37's will add some extra stress to the box even when mall krawlin. Personally. Thuren high clearance arms are pretty bad ass. Probably a better price point then Carlis new high clearance ones too. Relocating the axle 1/2" further forward will really help clear the larger tires and will help with a better ride also....let us know what you do! Carli is still a good choice because like I said it's a complete kit and it's off the shelf...less to worry about this way....

A member on here just posted a week or so ago that he had to put a 33 under there because the 35 did not fit (it was on a '14 or '15 model). Not sure if removing some shields or other things would allow fitment though...

I think a 315 or a 35 would fit with the exhaust gaurd removed. Tires can take quite a bit of heat before they ignite lol could always just do something like this

just removed it when your running around town if you need space in the bed when going wheeling or on long trips stick it in there. If your towing something big and going on a long trip and have the truck loaded put it in the trailer lol

The spare issue is probably not an issue if I just run 35's. My exhaust is cut off under the passenger seats and pointed straight down ( previous owner). So there's zero heat shield needed

I would personally purchase everything directly from him or don it will save you 30-60$ on everything he sells from my personal experience compared to Cjc or strapt which are stocking dealers of his also

Yeah, Don replies VERY quickly to email and is great to deal with! I asked him a TON of questions when I was figuring out what direction to take with my suspension build! He will recommend what is best for your needs- even to the point that if there is a competitor's part that might work better for you, he will let you know!!! He is very knowledgeable, super helpful, and all-around awesome!!! I run his rear shackles- they are uber-beefy and work great!!!!

Soooo.... you HAVE taken it off some sweet jumps! LOL! Nice video! My Carli 3" lift soaks up jumps nicely so, I can't even imagine how smooth your 7" with the bumps is!!!!

I was really surprised how smooth the front was without boogy bumps. Those bilsteins work good. Did break a beer in the back seat though but that's because the my hitch landed on it lol surprisingly nothing even fell out if the cup holders and my buddy didn't spill his beer.

What kind of limit straps are you using up front, or are you basically just using the sway bar for down-travel limit?

Everything is Carli stuff with Thuren front soft coils and custom rear leafs that are similar to deavers (same leaf counts and thickness just less arch for smoother transitions) with boogie rated bump stops in the rear.
