Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread
Took a couple of pics when I was out with the truck today...though I took them with my cheap camera, which apparently can't handle sunlight very well. But, one advantage of fuzzy pictures is that it hides the dents - plus it helps that I took the pics of the good side of the truck, and stood a long ways away.
No pics on rocks or anything like that...all we have up here is forest, which is super-green right now because of all the rain we've had in the past week or two.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread
I had that happen to mine a couple of times, which is why I don't even have a cable on my winch anymore - I eventually just gave up. Nothing like having a false sense of security...thinking you'll pull yourself out, then pulling out the winch cable only to find that your winch is dead and you have a pile of unspooled cable to deal with. One of these days I'll take the winch back off (again) and try to fix it, but for now I'm ignoring the problem.Montana Dan wrote:Winch quit working mid recovery so i had to throw the cable into the bed.
Of course, 90% of the time when I get stuck it's because I did something stupid and need to be pulled out backward anyway - so when I get the winch fixed I should probably just mount it on the other end of the truck.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread
I often thought that too. If it's that bad that you cant get through, chances are you'll want to go backwards---not forward.

I've been wanting mount a rear winch on my truck for years.......ask the RC guys, I like getting pulled out backwards. I want it tucked up under my bed, out of view where all you see is the roller fair lead and hook.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread
The fluid can't be flowing properly in your steering system. I can't see that many pumps going bad without a reason! Check the tubing between the steering box and the pump. Look specifically at the top of the 180 degree bend coming out of the gear box. When the tube is tightened onto the box that bend can get a slight kink. That kink will kill your pumps. I would burp the hell out of that steering too. Actually you have the newer, larger steering box don't you? Doesn't matter... that whining in the steering would tell me that same variable is still going to kill this pump too. I hope the pump is the only thing killed. Stay safe!Montana Dan wrote:Yep 8!RustyPW wrote:8 PS pumps! It mite be more ive lost count. Ive had 3 go bad in 1 week. 2 brand new and 1 used (the used lasted only 3hrs before it quit). My local Dodge dealer paid for atleast 5. Ive replaced the ps box (1000$
) that locked up @ 80mph, 600 miles from home. Since the new box was installed the pump has whined louder than an old Furd. Dealer said "Jus deal with it...."
I belive i have a warrarnty with latest ps pump. I will find out today. All but 3 were simply street driving too. 2 were with 35" tires.
