Helped do a little bit of trail work out at URE today, hauled some stone for erosion control!
Squatted out a bit loaded up (mine sits forward rake like stock empty, I purposely setup my Carli springs and Thuren shackles to maintain forward rake):

Here's what was in the bed:

Had to park in a bit interesting a manner so we could unload (it's steeper than it looks in the pic, I'm parked just off the side of first ledge of Daniel):

Afterwards, went wheeling out on Dickey Bell, got to winch a stuck Ford F-150 up part of the the big climb on it (the one where there's the hard left climb, or the easy right climb), didn't get to get a pic though. Had fun, watched some Jeep guys make some "interesting" line choices on that climb and on first ledge of Daniel, one of them I thought for sure was gonna roll on first ledge, yikes!!! I think he busted something bad in his front axle. ("when in doubt, throttle out!" seemed to be his motto, LOL!!!) Had a great day overall, just had to be super careful of my now unprotected rockers! Here's a random trail shot, only one I took!:

Nice. Wish I had places like that to go. I also hope I can save my bedsides unlike yours lol.

Damn ... Looks like your bed's taken some damage! ... and the front bumper? Really nice truck though. That gray looks great. I like the setup. I gather 37's with that suspension?

jeep_boy02: Yeah, it's great, I am only an hour away from the trails at Uwharrie! Yeah, my bedsides have taken a bit of a beating, I was the first person to take a full size through a privately owned Jeep trail system over by Uwharrie. Word of my doing so has apparently gotten around, I got stopped by some people yesterday that were like- hey, aren't you the guy that took his truck through the 4x4 driving school's new trail system and beat up his bedsides? (we had to cut two trees down to get my truck through, LOL!)

04PWrockcrawler: Yeah man, I think Power Wagons are happiest on the rocks, aren't they? I wish mine was as capable as yours though! Really enjoying following your build!

Sheepdog Outdoorsman: Tight tree lined trails out here and a tree magnet for a bed, LOL! About the front bumper, SSSSHHHHHHHH!!!- it's a secret! In about a month, I should be posting some bumper build pics! Thanks for the kind words, I really dig your white truck, very clean looking! Yup, 37s- 3" Carli fits 37x12.50R17 MTRKs great on stock wheels!!!!

3" Carli suspension and 37x12.5R17 MTRK's on stock wheels is what I have planned as well. It's nice to see pictures of your setup. It's good to know the setup works good for you. Thanks for the compliments. It's been an expensive run so far, but with all I have planned it's going to cost quite a bit more.

Yeah, these trucks seem to rack up expenses quickly, LOL! Just a heads up on the MTRKs- mine have a VERY bad balance issue, friday is going to be my last effort to try to balance them, going to try Dynabeads. If they don't work, I'll be getting something else tire wise, maybe some Nitto Trail Grapplers? My wobble thread covers the issues so far. The MTRKs sure work great offroad though, especially in the red clay mud we get around here! I'm just bummed that they don't balance well.

Yeah, I'm iffy on the MTRK's because they're load range D. I'd like to find a MT tire that's load range E.

Their load rating in pounds is equal to or higher than our stock tires though. I can't remember if it equals or exceeds but, one of the two is true, I made sure of it before buying them. There aren't many 37x12.50R17 tire options in a load range E. Not many at all.

I plan to haul a bed camper, so my weight will either be maxed out or exceeded. Hopefully the Carli suspension will increase the amount of load I'm able to carry. I plan to use my truck as an expedition rig, so the tires have to be good on and off road hauling the extra weight. I expect my load to be between 1300 and 1900 pounds ... I know Nitto and BFG offer mud terrains in load range E. Just looking into all options ...
