Went and checked out Black Bear Pass while we were in Telluride, made it a little way...the wife was starting to get pretty nervous with the slick snow roads next to significant drop offs, not to mention every switch back was a 3 point turn with the truck.

Did some wheeling on a dry riverbed with my brother and a couple other jeeps. First time wheeling with the 35" tires. What a great difference from the factory size! That extra little bit of contact patch, ground clearance, approach angle and departure angle was awesome!

They will rub on the control arms when making sharp turns, flexed or not. I did go through a few turns where the suspension was quite articulated and didn't notice any other rubbing, which made me quite happy!

So based on what I gather, all you should need now is some H2 wheels and a little finder mainenance and you will be good to go with no rubbing.

Could you do a set of bent control arms from Thuren and get rid of the rub?

I could do either H2 wheels and fender trimming or different control arms. But any of that stuff will have to wait until at least the spring as there are no funds available right now.

I'll let you know if just the Thuren arms work soon. Since I FINALLY have them. Now I have no time to install for a while and waiting for springs and track bar.

So far I have only noticed a slight power loss from the 37x 12.5's I had on. Othewise I havn't really noticed anything else so far, but I have only driven it a couple of times since I put them on.
