In case you didn't see this in the other thread, these are normally about $125 but I found a seller on ebay that had several listed for $75 with a make offer button. I made an offer of $65 and it was accepted, can't beat that! It took about 3 minutes to install. Just plug up the supplied cable to the factory winch plug route the cable, and mount the control box. I mounted the box behind the air intake with the supplied velcro pad but the cable is long enough to mount the box just about anywhere. Did a quick test and it works great! If you need to use the corded winch remote you can simply pull the plug off for the wireless controller and plug up the corded remote. I think this is money well spent!

I'm going to leave the cable plugged up and apply some dielectric grease. I think that will protect the plug better than the stock cover.

Hell of a deal on a great piece of gear.
It's one of the handiest items you didn't know you needed until you get one. Being able to setup rigging, take up slack and inspecting the results while you are there vs walking back to the truck makes winching much faster and safer.

I had to winch out a little Ford tractor and brush hog a couple of times last weekend and this would have been great to have. Not to mention the 5 minutes it took to find my winch remote, which was hiding in the recovery bag, where I looked three times. It was raining and having to track back and forth in the mud wasn't fun.
I suggest anyone that has an extra $75 laying around that you snag one of these up. I don't think you'll find them this cheap again. I was on the warn site and these aren't even on there anymore. They have a new design that plugs directly into the winch plug but the remote is the same.

Here's the link. The price has gone from $74.99 to $99.99 but they might still accept the $64.99.

Should work with all winches with round plug.

They got a new wireless kit out now. It's even simpler.

It's for a 5 wire control pack (plug).

I didn't see a price on the Warn site, but Amazon lists the new unit at $130. I put in a bid on the eBay auction yesterday, just a couple hours after OP's post. No response yet from the eBay seller.

I think I actually like the old system better. I'd be afraid that if I left the receiver plugged in that it would get stolen.

... or fall out, get wet, lose it by misplacing it, plus you can mount the old style receiver up out of harms way.
Gonna' try to see if I could get this one any cheaper than the great price that you already got ...

Same seller ("nps") as OP's post. I put in a bid on Saturday and it expired today with no response from the seller. Poking around on eBay shows that he still has 206 units available, so he should be motivated to move the merchandise. I'm guessing that he is just liquidating the old Warn inventory.

X2
This one is an auction vs a " buy it now ". Going to try a little sniping and see what happens, got nothing to lose but another day without one.

nps accepted my new $65 bid, so he's still selling them at that price. I think shipping is $8.50. Thanks, myoung84.

He should send myoung84 a commission. He still has 205 more units to sell.

I tried to win this auction with a maximum bid of $49 , it sold for $66 .
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WARN-76080-Wire ... 8872179%26
Seems like $65 is about the going price. I'm just going to use the " Buy it Now " like everybody else has.

Excellent find. Thank you for sharing the information. My brother and I were just talking about whether a wireless remote could be hooked up to the winch this past Sunday while target shooting up in the pawnee grasslands. The conversation was more in the context of snow plow applications, but talk about timely. I just offered them $60 and they took it (+8.50 shipping). Thanks again!
