Looks like the media guys don't know how to spool out a winch

Seriously - a winch, rocks to hook up to, lockers to get it going after the winch frees it, and it's still stuck. Bravo...
I'm just along for the ride...

Too late that thing is toast with that much salt water in it. Wow! Not sure what they were thinking or trying to do. Sure there was some major ass chewings if not someone getting fired.

This could have been a cool commercial if they had a snorkel on the truck and it got out.

If those idiots couldn't get it out without a snorkel, a snorkel wouldn't have helped....it was stuck before the tide came in. :geek:

I'm aware- read my post again. I said it would have been cool if they would have showed it getting out with a snorkel. I'm aware the snorkel wouldn't have helped them any, I just thought it would be cool.

I'm still pissed that not one moron even tried to use the winch. What the hell did they think that big ass hook on the front of the truck was for?

PR vehicle may easily be missing winch remote. Would it last long in salty water not sure either? There is really not much in front of them to hook up to. Lockers are useless in wet sand. Only hope is to air down very low and pray you can crawl out. Loose wet send in those tide pool acts like a suction cup.

One of the people who was supposedly there mentioned that the winch had been installed at the last minute, and wasn't actually wired to the battery...which wouldn't be a big surprise, as the vehicles used in photo shoots are often cobbled together. I know that our testing department used to get pre-production vehicles all the time that were missing major components, or had parts from several model years patched together.

Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if half the "power wagons" we see in commercials are actually regular 2500s that were mocked up to look like PWs.

Apparently the tide came in before they could get the lockers to engage. Now maybe they will improve the lockers......not.
