I just purchased a 06 6spd power wagon. I would like a bypass kit if they're still available.

So far I still have parts to build these, however the supply chain is stretched pretty thin right now. I was searching for one of the main connectors I use and it showed being back ordered until May 2022. :jawdrop:

Anyhow, I can still build a few more, just send me an email and I'll give you some more info and options: abelcomponents@yahoo.com

Greetings: I also posted this on the Abel 3 G bypass instructions thread until I saw this was the latest string. Forgive the double post was not sure which was the best location. Originally was on your 2005 Locker bypass initial list but through circumstances at that time did not need the bypass so gave my place on the list up so you could service the more pressing needs of members. Am now having problems with my rr locker blinking,,,and have a couple of questions and more background if you have the time. I look forward to hearing from you, perhaps after this Easter weekend if you have a few minutes. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I bought this kit and It installed easily a couple of days ago. Instructions were very detailed and in color. Worked perfectly right out of the box. All plug and play. Can't say enough good things about it. My Powerwagon is a 2015. Should have bought it years ago when it first was offered. Thank you David.

Hi Red,

The first post in this thread has my email address (AbelComponents@yahoo.com) or you can PM me on this forum. I don't have a website, because I don't have the time to set one up or maintain it. I still have a day job and this is just a service I provide to the Power Wagon community in my spare time.

Sorry for causing you frustration, thanks for inquiring. :patriot:

Hey there. I installed your locker bypass on my 2015 Powerwagon and it worked great right out of the box. I just recently bought a 2020 Powerwagon and was wondering if you had any plans to build a system for the 19 and newer models?

A lot has changed with the 2019 and newer Power Wagons, the lockers are now wired into the controller area network (CAN-Bus) high-speed data stream, so the only way to manipulate them now is to modify the software (I’m not a software guy) or hardwire them with separate switches. The good news is that the locker bypass isn't really as necessary on the new trucks as it was on the older trucks, due to the fact that starting in 2019 RAM now allows the rear locker to work in 2WD & 4HI. This was one of the major complaints on the older trucks that caused the need/desire for a locker bypass. Long story short, I don't have a locker bypass for the 2019+ and don’t really have any plans to develop one, since all the new owners seem to be satisfied with the function of the new factory system.

If the problem you’re having is slow engagement and flashing lights, then the key to faster locker engagement with the factory system is not to exceed 3 MPH while engaging. If you’re moving faster than walking speed, you’re moving too fast and the system won’t engage. Push your locker button, turn the steering wheel all the way left or right and just creep forward. Once the locker engages, there is no speed limit. The more you exercise them the faster they’ll work.

Thanks for asking! :patriot:

Thanks for the quick reply. I kinda figured the factory would make it even more complicated to convert. I guess what I have is an improvement over what came before. Have a great Christmas.
