2015 Front Axle Nut Size

Post by NickTF » Tue Oct 06, 2020 12:55 pm

After 94k (from 26k to 94k with 37s), looks like it's time for a new wheel bearing front driver side. Can someone indicate the size of the front axle nut so I can make sure I have the right socket before pulling the anvil tires off  ?

On a side note, to get the bearing out, does the turn the wheel with one of the bolts backed out and a socket, extension etc. wedged between the knuckle and bearing work to push the bearing out of the knuckle? I did this on my old 97 2500.

33mm is correct size.

Using the backed out bolts a socket and the extension worked perfect to push wheel bearing off while turning wheel.

Having ability to lock axle with lockers (bypass switch) made this job easier.

Side note: even with locker bypass the front locker refused to engage with wheel speed sensor unplugged.
