Cooper Discover AT3

Post by 04Ram2500Hemi » Mon Sep 30, 2019 9:25 pm

Well my Toyo A/T II’s made it about 32,000 miles so I decided to change things up. I haven’t had a set of Coopers since high school.

Any thoughts on the Cooper Discover AT3?

I've had 37" Cooper STT Pros for over 20k miles and they are still over half tread (15/32" on average). Probably 4000 miles towing and a solid 2-300 offroad/heavy trails.

I'm not easy on my tires but I am religious about rotating and balancing them every 4000-5000 miles.

With that being said, if the rubber compound is anything like the STT Pros than I'd say go for it.

I'm hoping they wear as well as your STT Pro's. Cooper claims they have a 60,000 mile warranty, but honestly if I get 40,000 miles I'll be thrilled. If my tires go that long the truck will be at 100,000 miles and at that point I'll have to decide if I'm going to keep the truck or move onto something else.

Just replaced my at3s. Mostly highway. Almost got 60k on them. I kind of let them go at the end so I could have got a little more out of them. Did a few long trips from northeast Ohio pulling 26' travel trailer. Az ,grand canyon, Florida and wyoming Yellowstone. Wyoming trip was 5200 miles. I was happy with them

Well I got the Cooper Discoverer AT3’s installed. They look like a good tire. I guess time will tell.

Cooper claims the AT3 285/75/17 is a 33.82x11.50 tire. My rough-ish measurements show it’s pretty close.
