Power Wagon number ?????

Post by RAM4ROKS » Fri Jan 25, 2013 10:33 am

I've noticed a lot of members have Power Wagon #____ in their signature, I'm assuming this is the factory number of their vehicle in the production of Power Wagons? Is that a 05-09 only thing (I've only noticed it on sigs of 05-09 owners), or did (whatever company owns Ram now) do it for 10-?? too? If it applies to 10-??, how can I find out what number mine is? It'd be a cool thing to know! Thanks!

As I understand it the 05-09 PW's had special, sequential VIN's but the 10 and up don't.

Using that logic, mine would be # 6266. I also think it was just for the 2005 MY.

I remember this discussion taking place over at DT, http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/search. ... id=3757078
and IIRC, the consensus was that " Sequentially Numbered POWER WAGON " didn't ever really happen.

On Edit: Don't know why the link above does not work, so go to this Power Wagon Registry page and scroll down to
"Sequential Numbering". http://powerwagonregistry.org/faq.php

Hey Rusty, Don't know if it's a coincidence but my last digits are 8071, I was on the power wagon registry home, and found the sister to my truck, the owner was also a member there. That truck ends with 8070. This truck and mine were shipped together from the factory to the dealer close to me. It would seem to me that they are still running in order. And mine is an 06. :chug:

Try and make some sense out of this. It's my understanding that 2,427 PWs were made in 2005, mine was built May '05 and my Vin. ends with 2614. :wtf:
