The Nanny Kill Switch® for the 4th Gen (2011-2018) trucks is a device for completely turning off the traction control, electronic stability control and antilock brake nannies in your 2011 - 2018 HD Ram truck. It allows you to do things that the truck won't normally allow, like full throttle hill climbs, unlimited donuts in the snow or sand or lock up your brakes and skid to a stop on any surface. It’s made with 40 amp rated quality components and is completely plug and play, with no need to cut the factory harness. Simply mount the device in your fusebox and follow the instructions for routing one zero amperage ground wire to the dashboard area and mount the included rocker switch in the location of your choice. It's easily removable to avoid warranty issues. The ABS warning light will illuminate, which is your indicator that the system is working and a reminder to turn the switch off when you return to the pavement.

Here's a video that Pigpen made of his install on a 2015 (applies to 2013-2018):
Purchasing this item means that you take back full control of your truck, as well as full responsibility for your actions and consequences after you flip the switch. Getting caught with this device at the dealership may void your warranty. It's time to put on your big boy pants!

Edit Note for 5th Gen. Trucks 4/23/25: Well a new development has come up on the 5th gen. trucks. Ram has issued a recall to reprogram the ABS module. Once the reprogramming is updated, it renders the throttle nanny override portion of the NKS useless. I’ve had a couple customers contact me and confirm that their Nanny Kill Switch was working normally before the recall and then afterwards the throttle nanny came back, inhibiting wheel spin, even if the NKS was turned on.

At this point the only option that 5th gen. owners have of turning off the Traction Control to allow wheel spin, is to do a long 5 second press/hold on the factory TC switch, until you hear a chime. The only problem with this is that the Traction Control is never really fully turned off, it’s always lingering in the background and if you exceed a certain speed or yaw rate, it kicks back in again automatically and inhibits throttle response.
The ABS portion of the NKS still works on 5th gen trucks, so if your main concern is being able to lock up your wheels and skid to a stop on any surface, it will still serve that purpose on 2019-2025 trucks.
