Re: Reloaderguy's Build Thread - 2016 Laramie Power Wagon
The pictures don't do it any justice. The wheel and tire combo makes the truck 6" wider than the 37's I was running. I'm going to weigh a wheel and tire tomorrow but I'm guessing they're 130lbs each. The 37's were under 100lbs each. So far I'm running 27/22 PSI and it feels good, 30 PSI was rock hard. I haven't balanced the tires but I'm not sure it's needed, they're pretty smooth. I put new TPMS sensors in the wheels and truck picked them up seamlessly.

What's the spec's on the rims?
I haven't run TPMS's in my tires for years. My light stays on.

Can you add some details on how you disabled the front sensors?Reloaderguy wrote:The factory bundles the front parking sensors (if you have them) with the foglights in the bumper harness. I removed the sensors and converted the truck to rear parking sensors only so there is no longer a need to keep the sensor harness intact. For some reason the connectors in the bumper are potted so I couldn't get them apart. I ended up disassembling the harness and removing the parking sensor wiring. They are separate but in the same harness. I then reassembled the fog light harness using braided harness sleeve and heat shrink. I'll probably redo the harness when the bumper is finished but it works in the meantime. I'm just reusing the temporary Chinesium lights I had in the OEM bumper. Here is what the inside of the harness looks like:

Re: Reloaderguy's Build Thread - 2016 Laramie Power Wagon
AEV references it in their bumper installation instructions. You need to purchase the rear-only parking sensor module and replace yours. The module is at the base of the A-pillar under the door sill guard by the parking brake release. The module is found in almost every Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicle with rear parking sensors for the last six or eight years. They're like $100 new, I found one on Ebay for $40 used. The part # is 68204477AD.
