As you can see in the photos I drill holes for shackles to connect chain. I can cut the sides for serrations but feel it's not really necessary. The weight of the truck plants these pretty securely into whatever surface you are on.

I will talk to Dan at smelter city and see what he would charge for 5 or 6, it seems like that's about all the interest there is at this time.

You can not just buy the Hi-Lift first responder base, unless you have the entire unit & can prove to them...it's BULLSHIT!

I was just starting to spec out a hi-lift jack, is the First Responder the way to go? If so, is your base better than the OEM base, and will it fit the First Responder Jack?

So after reading the specs on the Hi-Lift web site, are there any differences between the 60" Xtreme and the 60" First Responder aside from the color scheme?

Except price! It's almost $200 more!

If you get the first responder there is no reason to get the base I make.

Except the fact that it's way cheaper to buy a standard Hi Lift jack and add your base. That saves over $100 right there. Your option is much cheaper ... cost wise that is

SheepDog...Yeah it is definitely a cheaper combo---On Amazon, a 60" Xtreme Hi-lift is $112+$50 new base, & the 60" First Responded is $236. So it's about $75 cheaper.

VerdeSarDog---Can your base take the chain and tow straps like the First Resp base? Also, I can't tell from the pics, but can that base fit the 2 4x4 cribs like the FR base?
