rock rails
I never thought I would have to say this but I think a set of rock rails for my truck would be a good idea. I have twice now almost knocked the passenger side running board off.
Does any one have plans to make a set or maybe some for sale for a 2006 2500?

Re: rock rails
There was a set for sale here a while back. They are rare as hen's teeth...
There are a couple companies building aftermarket sets - should be plenty of info here on the White Knuckle products.
If you wish to have a set fabbed up, I can recommend a guy in Phx to do that - Rob Bonney Fab 602 370 7955

Re: rock rails
White Knuckle sliders will fit your truck. You actually have more room around the frame on the driver's side than a Hemi truck. They bolt/clamp around the frame and can take quite a hit. Trust me on this one...

Re: rock rails
I would have to move my OBA from the frame rails to inside the tool box. But I have been wanting to do that anyway.

Re: rock rails
I have to agree the White Knuckles would be your best bet and you can't be the simplicity of the install. I'm mounting my factory sliders in the spring that I bought from Midnight. But ya they are rare as hell... and if you find them you still have to think about how you're going to mount them lol. Since most people loose the brackets inside the frame railFirerescuePW wrote:White Knuckle sliders will fit your truck. Re: rock rails
Michael, you've seen my sliders with the step added, and that's one thing Rob could do for you to replace the ones you have. It really does make access easier and offers a bit more protection from body damage in rocks like Smiley Rock.

Re: rock rails
There's a cure for that...
I use that way more than the lockers. It really does help smooth out the ride.
I suspect the weight of the diesel would cause a lot of sloshing tho. You'd be better off with a less stiff bar. Not sure if something from Currie (they make excellent aftermarket stuff) would be available.

Re: rock rails
Sup (what's-up), V-dog ! I do have a complete set of hen's teeth, but sadly, they are not for sale. IMHO, you would be better off having a set made for your truck, that way you can have the side nerfs put on as well. A lot of people use the side nerfs more than the sliders.
You are lucky to live where you do. When i mention "sliders, rockrails, nerf bars" I get :
are those, or, why do you want those !!!

Re: rock rails
I don't run a front sway bar at all on my 2nd gen diesel, and I honestly don't notice any excessive body roll, nor does the truck feel at all unstable. I do still have the rear bar on though, but I can't see it doing much as it is pretty small.verdesardog wrote:A disconnecting anti sway bar would be nice too......

Re: rock rails
thanks to all who have replied with offers but the major problem is money right now. This thread was really a rant on how I need rock rails on my CTD that I never thought I would take where I have gone....

Re: rock rails
Do you want the plans to build the factory style rock rails like on the PW? If I remember correctly you weld so it could be the best bet for you.
