WTB - winch mount for my 2006 mega

Post by Rp954 » Sat Nov 09, 2019 11:25 pm

might be a long shot, but does anyone have a winch mount that would fit my mega? or know of where I could get one. Emailed a few places with no luck from car-part.com. It doesn't have to be pretty, just functional. I am in lower Michigan

Try Mile Marker, that's what I installed on my 06 CTD. Mile Marker Extreme. I also have the 10.5t hydraulic winch installed in that mount.

thanks for the mile marker info, guess I should have been a little more clear. Looking for the factory power wagon winch mount, never been a fan of the the push bar style and being a megacab it is long enough already :)

They only offer a 10-17 2500/3500 mount that I could find

That's kind of what I thought after posting the photos. A power wagon winch mount will not work on a CDT, the intercooler takes up all the space necessary for that. I got that specific mount because I did not want to get a massive new bumper just to mount a winch!

I think he knows that. In his signature, it says a 2006 1500 mega cab. So a factory power wagon winch/bracket will work

These numbers are for a 4th gen but they should work on a 3rd gen, due to the same frame width.

52121221AF - winch bracket
52121225AC - frame bracket left
52121224AC - frame bracket right
05143198AA (2) - horizontal roller
05143199AA (2) - vertical roller
52121423AA (8) - bushing pin

But don't take my word for it... Do your own research. :patriot:

thanks guys - yeah lots of room with the hemi. The 1500 and 8 lug wheels gets me quite a few odd looks and questions.

I had found some part#'s for the 3rd gens, but if the 4th gen stuff works that would be awesome. A guy I work with has a 4th gen wagon so I should be able to directly compare easy enough

52121221AE - winch bracket discontinued for a 2006, only 1 revision level to AF for new part and not a new part# so I would definitely think it is interchangeable

everything else matches with what you have listed.

52121221AF - winch bracket - $321.75ea
52121225AC - frame bracket left - $75.57ea
52121224AC - frame bracket right - $81.30ea
05143198AA (2) - horizontal roller - $19.87ea - looks like it includes the vertical roller
05143199AA (2) - vertical roller
52121423AA (8) - bushing pin - discontinued

$518.36 total from mopar parts giant, todays pricing.

A 4th gen and a 3rd gen bracket and winch would work. The only difference between the two, is the hole for the controller plug on a 4th gen.

If you look through Craigslist or facebook marketplace, you can usually find the bracket and winch for around $800

thanks - about a 7 hour round trip for me.

Debating on new parts and then the new winch from HF on sale for $600, be into it for a total of less than $1200 with only a 5 minute drive to the local HF.

I have a complete winch mount with rollers, brackets, and hardware. I’d take 225$ shipped to the lower 48
