Should I sell my 2007 PW

Post by Original_Junior » Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:44 pm

As the title suggests, should I start looking to sell my 2007? I've been looking at the new ones and got the bug. I don't use her much; she only has 67,000 miles on her and I have the lifetime pt warranty they gave use back in 07. I always thought I would run her until the day Dodge has to give me a new engine or tranny. Also, not sure what a good price would be for it either. Garage kept. On the fence but it's paid for so I don't like the idea of a loan much. I do like the looks of the new Rams. Also, I miss my diesel so I'm not positive I would get anothe PW. I toy around mostly in my Jeep but need a truck for weekend projects and such.

BTW: spent all its life in GA so it is rust free top to bottom. Damn near new so that is another reason I hate to sell.

If it were me and I was a patient man like you appear to be, I would wait until they did the cab refresh on the HDs. That flat rear floor and extra rear leg room is more appealing than a 8spd, 12" screen and synthetic winch.

Cab refresh? Maybe I missed something. I have an 06 and onbth fence to trade it in for an upcoming 2020

I haven't seen any news about the HDs but the 1500 got a new cab in 2019. The 2019-2020 HDs still have the old style cab.

I figure it's just a matter of time before the HDs get the new larger cab with rear flat floor. I could be wrong.

Interesting. Now if they do make a change, my guess it will be at least a couple of years! By that time, the powerful 700+ HP 1500 Rebel (or whatever it will be called), will be out!

I thought the new HD's did get a refresh this year? I've seen them in person and they sure look different.

They got a facelift, however the cab remains the same as the prior generation. The half tons got an entirely new cab with flat rear floor (no transmission tunnel hump), and I believe the HD's are anticipated to receive that cab at some point as well.
