Nice !! Everything’s looking nice & level! Doesn’t look like your using WD hitch or sway bars,,,,what size/ weight of trailer? 33” tires ? Gearing ?

It might be time to upgrade with some tow mirrors for the Campmaster.

The camper is about 5k and the other is 6k. The first picture I had the 33’s but I’ve upgraded to 35” tires and stock 4.56 gears.The 35’s have made the truck much more enjoyable to drive! I’ve hauled the camper all over the US through Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado with regular drop hitch. The PW does a great job as long as I stay around 65 mph. You’re right Retired BLM Rig I could use some tow mirrors. I have a cheap tow mirror that straps on to the drivers side that’s sufficient but not great. I’ll check out your link though. I’m the one who ordered a new bypass kit a couple of days ago after finding this site. I’m excited to get the lockers working properly!

Thank you,,,,we towed a 27’ - 8,000# travel trailer w 4.56 gears, WDH/HD sway bars/35’s & 65 mph we found to be the towing sweet spot for the wagon. Past season we got a newer 21’-4,800# single axle trailer, w an Easy lift upturn R3 600# hitch/sway set up,,,,wagon hardly knows it’s back there. Would not have wanted to tackle the larger trailer w/o the WDH setup & getting 35’s we found was a good improvement. Hence the reason for my questions when I saw your pic w 33’s & drop hitch. we’ve really enjoyed the improved tracking & sway control w the lighter trailer. Agree w retired BLM Rig,,,,have the tow mirrors & love them. As a member noted years ago,,,,it will never tow like a diesel,,,but sure do love the versatility!!

My camper is 21’ and my other is 16’. I was really impressed going downhill. I felt the trans really held me back and didn’t need to brake excessively. I switched from an 01 Cummins with a 5 speed. I loved that truck (especially the mileage)! I put on almost 400k before trading it for a VW Baja bug! But, I always wanted a PW since they came out, and finally found this one in South Dakota. It had been part of a fire department fleet before I got it. I love everything about the PW except the mileage! Mine is a Tradesman with vinyl seats and rubber floors. Super easy to clean and not many options to break down. There’s something BA about driving it!
