Airbags - Mountings Daystar Cradle to bag bottom???

Who has mounted their cradle directly to their air bag bottom vs mounting the cradle to the axle bump stop pads? What are folks’ opinions on the two different options?

With the '14+ it was pretty easy to mount to the axle

I don’t doubt it’s an easy install just curious what others are doing and why. They appear to be intended to install on the axle.

Installing the cradle to the bag defeats the point of the cradle. The cradle is there to align the bag and keep it from slipping off the platform, and to keep it quieter when it hits. Attaching the cradle to the bag does neither of those.

Yes. Mount it to the axle. Otherwise, dont use the cradle at all and just let the bag hit the bump-stop pad... but I am not recommending that.
