Wow. So many problems. I'm not sure how these automakers survive anymore.

This points directly at the drive for absolute profit for shareholders, over sound customer-based practices. Everything is viewed through the prism of the quarterly report, ignoring the long-term.

This air bag recall is for a different problem, not the shrapnel in your chest problem. Just remember, they make it safer...

Being that I have worked in the salvage and auto recycling industry I know that the only safe airbag is a spent (deployed) airbag.

I would hate to imagine the type of injury you would get if you were hanging out the window to check where the tire was when something set off the side curtain airbag.....

Wow. And after everything I did to fix my steering issues. I'm curious what the buyback is going to be monetary wise. Are they going to reimburse full sticker value plus all interest paid and such?

Just called the dealership and to my surprise they had the parts and scheduled me for the airbag fix August 18th! :D My luck it'll probably blow up in my face on the way there! :jawdrop:

Got my air ball recall done on Thursday. Also got the recall on my GC done too. That was for a fuel pump relay in a control module. :(
