knock off air bag kit
Found a TORQUE air bag kit for my 05 on amazon for a decent price. It says it is a direct replacement for the firestone kit. I was wondering if anyone had tried this kit with the cradles they offer and if it would work for me?
I only tow about 3-4 times a year and just want to take the sag out of the rear. Thanks.

I don't have any experience with that brand, I use the Air Lift 5000 #88295 with the internal bump stop. Maybe see if you can find a copy of the installation instructions on their website to see how that process looks. Air Lift posts their instructions on Amazon. You definitely want cradles to maintain articulation off road. Let us know if you pull the trigger and how it goes.

A lot of the members tow & have the airbags,,,seem to love the flexibility they offer. We towed a 27’, 8,000# travel trailer for years w 1.5” leveling kit, WDH/ sway bars, & 35’s w 4.56 gears. Found 65 mph +/- was the sweet spot unless in heavy cross wind,,,then lower mph +/- 55 ish. Weights we tow otherwise way below TT weight. What size/weight are you towing? Several members in towing section threads discuss there setups,,,,,good luck

Re: knock off air bag kit
Well, I finally had time to install the air bag kit from Torque. It was pretty simple and was satisfied with the quality of the kit. I ended up putting the fill valve in behind the fuel fill door and so far am pleased with the install. I will probably upgrade to an onboard compressor if I like them. I have not towed anything yet and cannot wait to test them out. I found a lot of good info on this site so far! Thanks to all.
