Anyone done this yet?
I'm looking into doing this in the spring
I'm looking at what needs to be done as far as trimming/cutting,wheel offset,if you're using AEV flares or OE,or none
I have Thuren Alien Arms,Thuren sway bar,Kings
I rub on the upper arms at full lock now with 37s on H2 wheels with 1/4" spacers
A regear is in the plans

Try looking for any info on Scott Bruders PW that went on UA 2014 I think. I know he had a 6" progressive long arm and Deaver packs with Hutchison's and 40" Toyos

Good luck getting taller gears for the AAM 10.5 rear diff. I'm thinking you need the AEV fenders to fit 40s and potentially aftermarket front bumper for clearance. Just to fit 37s on my '13 I had my rear axle perches modded to move my axles back 1.5" on the OE spring pack so they wouldn't contact the front of the fender opening on hard articulation...ask me how I know... . So, for 40s I imagine something has to be done, but maybe the AEV fender mods take care of that. Just remember the axle twists forward on an uphill with heavy articulation.

There is no gears lower than 4.56's for the 10.5 diff. If you want to go lower. you have to swap a 11.5 in.

I haven't found much about it,but I'll look some more.
I won't go to a 6" 'lift due to wait times and cost of getting longer King shocks

I already have the Thuren bumper on the truck, and a rear axle swap is in the plans

I know what your saying about the rear tires grabbing the front of the bedside wheel opening.
I loosened the bed bolts and pushed the bed as far forward as it would go.It still catches when the tire is stuffed into the wheel well, but not as bad.
I have Thuren long travel leafs ready to be installed that moves the axle back some

I wouldn't want a 6 neither. His handle was bangg and his PW was named the Hazzard wagon. Idk about an actual build post but he was posting on here when he was getting ready for the UA.

Yeah,I found it after digging around for a while.
I'll either go with AEV highmark flares,or glass fenders like he did
