Better brakes?

My 2017 has never had what I thought the best brakes and honesty in low range the brakes will stop it but they seem almost overwhelmed. Has anyone tried the z36 power stop kit and did it help or is there some other upgrades out there? Thanks

I'm using the EBC Yellowstuff pads, Crown stainless brake lines, and Motul 660 brake fluid.

I’ve run the PowerStops and like them. I haven’t tried the EBC’s yet.

A few members here have posted the work they've done to their brakes. Mike Key recommended power bleeding the brakes and I kept putting it off. After nearly rear ending someone I finally got motivated enough to do it. Frankly I'm surprised how well the brakes worked with as much air came out of them. I then bled the ABS using AlfaOBD.
I also switched to Z36 pads. Each step incrementally improved the brakes but it took all of it to really make them feel better. The brakes on my truck have never been good, they're much better now although they could still be better.

So RLG you're saying that they weren't bled from the factory?

Probably to FCA's standards but their was air in the lines.

The factory may not be the only source of air - lots of shops and even individual owners have been known to skip the bleed after work is done
