Price for Toyo 35" MT's

Post by RustyPW » Wed Nov 13, 2019 11:46 pm

What's a good price for Toyo 35/12.5-17 MT's? Sam's Club have them for $383 each. Local tire dealer has them for $311 each. Who else has better prices?

Price for Toyo 35" MT's

Post by Punishher7 » Thu Nov 14, 2019 1:13 am

The best price per tire I got was thru a vender on here ($325) however of course that didn’t include rotations or road hazard. I found discount tire to be my best option at $364 per tire. This was just over a year ago so prices likely have changed.

Those Toyo's are heavy at 75Lbs. I will never buy a tire that heavy for my PW.
When I increased diameter to near 35" tall, I tried LT315-70-17 Firestones which were 67Lbs, compared to flotation size 35-12.5-17 at 74Lbs, and only 0.4" smaller diameter.
At that time I was going from LT305 Goodyear's that were a little bit lighter. The extra 5Lbs per tire with the 315's was very noticeable and I was not happy with the loss of performance.
I have since gone back to stock LT285-70-17 size in Firestone MT2's (57Lbs) and enjoyed the return to better gas mileage, acceleration and braking.

There is something to be said for carcass strength. The weight comes at a cost... Just sayin.

Wanted 37's. But I would have to trim the front of the rear wheel wells for clearance when fully flexed. 35's rub now.
