39s no lift
39s no lift
Trying to do 39s with stock suspension and the AEV Fender flares along with new Katala wheels. Is this possible? What other modifications would need to be made to avoid doing a lift?

Re: 39s no lift
Aev’s lift kit is really only 1.5” higher in the front than a stock power wagon, and they clear 40’s fine with the flares. So i would think its definitely doable. I would think pushing the axle forward 1.5” like aev does would be pretty crucial…unless you want to do a lot of trimming, which most likely would require messing up the flares.

Wow, 39’s? Rubbing? Trimming? Move axle fwd? I put 37.5’s on my ‘14 & had rubbing at full lock. Rubbing went away after installing the full Theuren/King 2.5’s kit.

Re: 39s no lift
Damn, beautiful!! So my PW trained eyes
sees a high clearance bumper set, front truss, AEV wheels to get proper backspacing for the 39’s, Thuren (or DOR) front track bar & PSC high mount steering stabilizer, not sure about coils or shocks but I see a SS braided line left of the diff, and a painted or front differential guard. Did you keep the stock disconnecting sway bar?

Re: 39s no lift
Those are the regular AEV (17x8.5) wheels, I had these long before the 39's. Those are BFG's KM3's (on purpose0 I cannot believe I haven't updated my thread since 2018. Kinda wild.adeluca73 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 11:55 amDamn, beautiful!! DOR won't touch my truck. I have all thuren stuff, most of the build thread is accurate there, with the addition of Synergy steering. I bent my draglink.
PSC really helps push tires around. But I got that when I still had 37's. MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE offroad in the rocks.
I have Abels bypass but my stock bar is going in the trash can this week.
Maybe I'll go update my thread when I have some more time.

I HATE DOR. Wish they all fucking die. They still owe me $900 or the steering linkage for my old PW. Ordered the steering linkage. They never sent it. Charge back on my Capitol One credit card was denied because of the wording on the bill of sale. Read the fine print with those assholes.

I couldn't find anything about the outcome of this. He likely settled or something since his website is still online. That guy is a massive scammer. Tons of facebook groups with people who never get parts. It's likely he knows how much to send out and at what speed to make it look like they're just "behind" and "can't keep up"
I think getting sued by the state attorney general says all you need to know about the company. You don't get sued by the attorney general because people are meanies who can't read their email.

Re: 39s no lift
We won't discuss this topic.

39's with stock fender flares are not for people who ask about rubbing.

I love them though. It creates the stuffed look. Just don't like the price of the KM3's. I have my receipt from when I got them from Discount Tire and they literally tripled in price. DamageWagon is trying to talk me into 40's. We are both chasing that elusive how much can you stuff with the minimal trim and while still being able to fully cycle the suspension.
AEV solved it with huge holes in your fenders, but then those make 40's look small.

Re: 39s no lift
I like the AEV fenders w/ 40’s. I like their bumpers too. Just no need for all of that with the new PW. Maybe I’ll redo my Thuren set-up & add some of Marcus (DamageWagon) underbody armor.OffroadTreks wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:00 amWe won't discuss this topic.![]()
