37" tires with 25mm offset
37" tires with 25mm offset
So I have read thurens site and a few others , so will 37" tires with a 25mm offset actually clear with minor trimming, no lift yet, in the 2020's ? I know this is not the question everyone wants to hear.

Re: 37
Most don't care about the biggest tire than can fit by cutting up their truck and spending $$$$
For the OP,
12.50 by 37s on a +25 rim will likely only require using a heat gun to push back the plastic front fender liners - and possibly grinding away some of the pinch welds for the larger diameter 37s.
13.50 by 37s on a +25 rim will require the same as above, but will likely still rub on the arms /bars at full lock thereby increasing your turn radius

Re: 37" tires with 25mm offset
So pinch weld foldover with some undercarriage liner. With a high clearance front bumper that should work. I'm switching from a Tacoma that I nodded for 33's

Despite the uh, click-bait title of the video, it primarily deals with common tire sizes on these trucks. Yes, you can fit 37’s on +25mm offsets just fine, with zero lift, in hard use. Some trimming of the plastic fender liner with a box knife, a bit off the bottom of the fender flare, and some on the pinch seam. Easily done in the driveway by a layman.

Re: 37" tires with 25mm offset
Hey, hey, now. I believe the OP wanted to hear from people experienced with tire fitment on a 2020. I know the Rams haven't changed much, but I believe he should have the respect to get a response from a 2020 owner who did some tire upgrades.

But yea, nothing crazy changed. Different flares, a little higher at ride height, but I think the same shit still applies.

That would be Marcus and my video, since we feature a 2020 and go over that. ButSimonandSimonBeast wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 8:33 pmHey, hey, now. Re: 37" tires with 25mm offset
Thanks for all the information, seems 37s will do fine on 25mm offset with a pinch weld foldover and some minor trimming. I'm looking at expedition ones bumper as well.

Re: 37
I saw one at last PWiM, looked pretty nice and the owners seems happy with it. Not cheap, but such is life.

Re: 37
Well, from an owner, not sure I'd buy one again.
The company was very dishonest about many things including lead times (some guys gave up after 14+ weeks), Park Assist (forget it, they'll never work) and latch operation. The latter was really the deal breaker for me. Countless times they would jam, and you could not get them to release. Not the end of the world if your bed is open, but I had a shell on mine at the time, with gear, fridge and sleeping inside. Not good.
When I got the FWC, I had to have new arms made anyway. The fabricator, Rob Bonney just chuckled at the use of the slam latches. This is what he came up with which took some work to make a turd into a functional piece.
I might add that the side corners will give little to no protection from anything major off-road, like coming off a sandstone shelf in UT. But whatever.

Re: 37
Klien 6,000 lb. latch seen here. Only one needed for both swings.
Oh, and the limit pins would never drop, so care had to be taken that the arms wouldn't continue unabated on around with 110 pounds of tire/wheel or liquid into the bedside. There was no welded hard-stop.

I don't want to shit on them, as I don't have direct experience. But I do believe one other member here on the site has had a similar experience. And their website, says if you want to cancel because you've been waiting for six months, you must do so in WRITING and then you are charged 20% restocking fee.
Funny you're charging a restocking fee for a production item. You're a shop, doesn't matter if you bought materials, all fab shops have overhead.
Anyways, I like the look of their front bumper. Maybe they've improved things. Maybe not. Someone mentioned that they are not as big an outfit as they pretend to be. It's a small shop making a large volume of stuff.

Re: 37
I'd never heard of Exped One before seeing the bumper as I was wandering around the campsite looking at people's trucks. Someone wandering with me expressed surprise, as they had heard of issues. The owners of the truck said they had none, they ordered it, it showed up on time and worked perfectly.
Don't know.

Re: 37
I had what I consider a very negative experience with Expedition One. You can find my description of what happened as well as the interaction with their representative over on Expedition Portal (forum not related to the company). I stopped discussing it publicly and disengaged from the company because I though attorneys were going to get involved at some point. To say I would avoid them is putting it lightly.

Thanks for the heads up. Any suggestions on a higher clearance bumper?Reloaderguy wrote:I had what I consider a very negative experience with Expedition One.
