Service 4wd light rear locker
Service 4wd light rear locker
Recently my service 4wd light came on goes out after a few restarts, normally I took the rear diff cover off cleaned the magnet completely off like people have recommended. Put all back together and is still doing the same thing. As soon as u turn the key on service 4wd light comes on and rr locker light flashers something I'm missing I havent been able to drive it yet to determine if it will go out after some driving. Could the smart bar cause this issue or should I be looking somewhere else, thanks.

Re: Service 4wd light rear locker
Look for bad connections at the SmartBar and rear locker connectors. Look for broken pins, do your best to clean any corrosion that you find. Apply dielectric grease to the connectors and cross your fingers.
Here's a couple pictures from a recent autopsy of a SmartBar.
I built a Full SmartBar Bypass that completely replaced this dead module and restored full function using the factory switches, which was a prototype for the new system I'm building.
Good luck!
