Front Shock Mount
Has anyone else dealt with a broken shock mount? I had not paid much attention to the quality of the lower mounts to the axle until I broke the drivers side. The quality of the weld coupled with the fact that factory only welded the bracket on the bottom, I'm surprised it lasted 44,000 miles. I welded it back onto the axle, cross stitched the cracks and completed the weld from the bottom of the bracket and axle housing through the radius. It doesn't seem that they left the upper portion of the radius not welded to act as a break away (weak point as not to break the axle housing)
