yeah, I noticed the price of the winch at 3k, but isn't the Tremor package around 4k?

Honest question, does anyone know why FCA hasn't included 35s from the factory? 1/2 ton Raptors have had 35s since 2011.

I can't imagine the 1mpg drop from a larger heavier tire is going to sway any companywide epa goals. Especially since they don't rate the 3/4+ ton trucks.

No reason they couldn't pass the extra cost of tires onto the customer.

Just boggles my mind.

Back when I had a dialogue with Fiat, I specifically asked them about larger OEM tires, and they had a whole list of reasons such as they would require a wider rim and that there were fitment issues with the current spare location. And there was some issue that the bumper or other frame member would then be too high to meet some state requirements. Yada Yada yada.

I guess they didn't want to make a whole slew of other changes to "correctly" accommodate the larger tires.

No, but when there is over double the payload one should not expect it to.

Looks like a power wagon would have lifted tires going through that wash too.

You can't really have flex and payload. Doesn't work like that. Unless your using a secondary support system to remove the flex during towing... like airbags with Daystar cradles or Timbrens that you swap out for Boogie bump stops. If they really wanted to knock it out of the park... install airbags with OBA from the factory and then rate the truck based on those payload and tow ratings while letting it switch to a flex mode...

The Tremor is a gut punch to the PW, it's designed not for all us here, but for every dork on the internet whose like "Well I want a diesel with my Power Wagon" - like the features list reads like the "PW cry baby list" sure it's missing things that make the PW great, but it's almost like Ford was reading the comments section of all the guys who say they like the PW but don't own one becuase of XYZ. They played to their audience.

I will say, I really like the idea of it being a package you can option on a few different trucks, like the F350

I saw the Tremor in person at Barrett Jackson yesterday. It’s a beautiful truck, but I forgot how damn big the Super Duty is (or it seemed that way). I’m not sure how long it is compared to the Power Wagon, but it seemed huge!

I'm pretty sure it is 11 inches longer in wheelbase and about 11 inches longer in over-all length.

If our rediculously long Power Wagons were several inches longer, then there would be room for 35" or possibly even 37" spares. :poke:

That's actually your ipad. iOS auto-corrects the rotation. But if you save it out, it won't be right side up.

Yeah, that thing flexed like an AEV truck. I can't believe they left that in there. That's like straight-up Toyota bro stuff. And to be honest, that's what I'd expect. But also, you can see how that can go badly for someone who is not a professional driver on a closed course. Reminds me of all the people who bent their Raptors in half when they first launched the Raptor back in the day doing stupid jumps. Wonder if we'll see a rash of rolled Tremors...

Yeah - it's a compromise with the current rear suspension design. With a different design, it wouldn't be that difficult to have both.

Imagine if you had a much stronger axle, and could the move the spring attachments in much closer to the differential. And then use higher spring rate springs to get the desired payload. Add a significantly beefy disconnectable swaybar and your done!

The swaybar disconnect could function similarly to our current front disconnect and you wouldn't have airbags to depressurize to get the flex.

I have patents on other things - but not on this concept

I agree. From my understanding it is a package that you can add to many of the truck models. Unsure if there are any exclusions though (like longbox crew cabs, or the xl base model etc.).

Pretty sure it is avail on all crew SB trims, but possibly not. XL? I'm not in the market for one, so my interest isn't that high.

I just had to chuckle a little when I watched that video though, cause so many guys were acting like Ford had come up with the holy suspension grail and that its payload carrying AND off-roading abilities were going to crush the PW.

Its almost like Pherd decided when they setup that off-road loop west of here in Phx. at a gravel quarry, to just side-step the whole articulation topic and make it so bad as to highlight the computer traction control system instead.

I just drove the Tremor with the 7.3L and I’ll say this, it’s one hell of a truck. The ride quality is on par with my Power Wagon, the transmission shifts are smooth, and it feels like the the truck has plenty of power. I just can’t get past the $71,000 sticker price. Ford is going to sell a lot of these!

I’m not going to post pics because I’m on my iPad and they would post funky.

For craps and giggles I drove a 2020 Power Wagon today. As much as I liked the Tremor, I liked the Wagon more. The Power Wagon felt comfortable and familiar. If I needed the HD of the Tremor I’d go that route, but for my needs the Power Wagon felt better.
