I watched the reveal today, and I'm in love with this thing. Really in love with it. Going to be a hard choice between this and the Wrangler after we move this summer. Either way, I know we're getting back into a Jeep.

Are they going to weld the frames with the same far-sighted robots as the Wranglers?

Chrysler has blessed us with two trackbars; only one is truly necessary

Surely if they're going to give this 33" tires and an option for 35's, they have to come out with a bigger stock tire and lower gears for the PW.

This is going to wound the competition. :box:

Wonder if it will come with a 2 door cab, and a 2 door extended cab?

That Gladiator Rubicon model with 35's, and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel turbocharged V-6 engine with start/stop and 8-speed transmission is a sweet little truck. Perhaps a little easier to maneuver on switchbacks and tighter trails than our bus-sized Power Wagons! :duel:

Well, it has a truck bed and that's something I guess.

These trucks are going to sell like hotcakes. I don't think it's a vehicle for me, but I really like it. They basically took the AEV Brute and made it affordable and with a full FCA backed warranty.

Just like the LJ, Jeep fucked up the departure angle.

Theres really only one way to fix that. Shorten the bed up to about 2 feet long. Or extend the wheel base another 2-3 feet.

I don't think a serious Jeep truck buyer would complain about a 4' bed since a serious Jeep truck buyer isn't a serious truck buyer. May as well buy a ZR2 with that mile long departure angle.

What I would have bought if this was 10 years ago. Alas, this time of my life has passed, but I still have my LJ!

And stick a 3 foot long bike carrier in the rear receiver...
It will scrape just leaving the driveway!

God damn do you ever tire of being a negative nacy?

It's the best departure angle in the mid-size lineup.

Colorado ZR2 - 30 degrees of approach and 23 degrees of departure angle
Tacoma TRD Pro - 29 degrees of approach and 23.5 degrees of departure
Jeep Gladiator - 40.8-degree approach angle, a 25.0-degree departure angle

So what it's not 37 inches like the Wrangler. What's the departure of the Power Wagon again??? :poke:

How's this for departure angle????

Does your ass end rub on your Lawn when you exit your driveway?

Gotta love a ride with a lil junk in the trunk

GM already figured that out.

Hahahahahahaha. Looks like they chose the two foot box option instead of a long wheel base.

Thanks to whoever updated my original post with pics and video links (Mike?) :nopics: I tried to put in a pic or two, but the forum said they were too large :box:
