I have friends on the coast and in Houston. I'm hoping they are getting out. Seen when traffic is a mess already.

I'll be with family just north of Houston for the duration. Fingers crossed, it's a big one

Hey Colibri,
Just wondering how you're doing? The stuff I'm seeing on the news is aweful!
Give us a status report if you have a chance.

All good here blm! Thanks for asking. We were very lucky and only had minor damage and no flooding. It's a disaster down here though. Unreal the level of destruction

The problem with living down there is. You never know when it's going to happen again.

Looks like middle to end of next week! Another disturbance just West of the Yucatan peninsula looking to take same path as Harvey.

I'm still surprised to see how much damage and water is down there. We didn't hear hardly anything about the hurricane as it was coming (up in Oregon, so...). Sounded like it was going to get a little wet and people were going to be playing in the streets. I had no clue you guys were going to make Katrina look like a kiddie pool.

There is a storm in the Atlantic now. From what I read. It could be a Cat 5 by the time it hits the eastern seaboard some time around 9/8.

It already has winds around 60 mph. Looks to be more wind then rain.
