Just as the title implies. Wife and I bought property in Boise. I'm torn between 3 ideas for short trips where I don't want to haul the Airstream, like weekend camping. A tear drop, a RTT and a slide in truck camper.
Was just hanging out with a friend who was showing off his, and I feel like it might best suit our needs. I know a few of you have posted about yours. I want to see them and some details about your setup. Please

Post whore away.

Camper is a 2010 Outfitter Caribou 6.5 on an 09. Empty weight is somewhere around 1100lbs as seen, jacks are stored in the garage as the unit lives 99% of the time on the truck. Not showing very well; the side shovel rack and rear hitch step are homemade.

Here is the truck and camper I had before the Power Wagon. Camper was an Arctic Fox 995 with a full side slide out. It was a nice camper, but heavy even for a 3500 dually. It weighed in at about 5000 lbs, and caused the truck to sway more than I liked. It never was all that fun to drive, but you sure could get into more primitive camp sites than you could with a travel trailer or fifth wheel.
