I think it's funny they are "trail" testing it. The log part cracks me up. More like sticks.

I've always liked the Raptor for what it is, but it's never been the right truck for my lifestyle.

I think the raptor is alright, it just seems that the only people who buy them are young punks who cant fit enough "bros" into a sentence. I personally think it would be awesome to get a bunch of raptors and a bunch of power wagons together and do some wheeling of all types.

X2! Love the Raptor, and think it would be a blast to drive, but I need a truck that can also tow and haul.
Loving my 3/4 ton version of my old Jeep TJ!!!!!

I wonder if the Raptor guys are as obsessed with the Power Wagon, as some Power Wagon owners are with the Raptor.

This was just posted on Expedition Portal:
I just finished a Colorado trip with my Raptor, a stock 2014 Jeep (4dr), and a brand new 2015 PowerWagon. I was extremely impressed by the Powerwagon in stock form. It climbed like a goat and rides very nice with the new suspension. It was probably the best riding 3/4 ton I have spent time in. The 6.4 mileage was about the same as the Raptor's 6.2 and both suck down the gas off-roading but 14-15mpg is doable on the highways between trails. If weight capacity was a concern of mine and I had the time to do more expeditioning, I would probably trade my Raptor for the Powerwagon.

The raptor would
Be mint if the frames were better and could take more. If in spending that dough on a truck it should be able to take just about anything within reason ofcourse.

The raptor is doing everything what it is expected to do. Let's not forget it is still ultimately just a ½ ton truck that will have limits of a ½ ton. This is what separates the Power Wagon from it, the PW is ultimately a ¾ ton truck that has limits of a ¾ ton truck, just like the Rebel will have limits of a ½ ton.

I think the limits are less than that of a 1/2-ton. When they first came out, I think the max payload was something like 550 pounds. Furd seems a bit cagey about publishing that info, but the Rapturd sites talk about 950 pounds on the new ones. Not much, eh?

I Deffinately see what u mean but for a truck with that much dampening you think the frame would be stout as all eff.
